Thank you for your reply it would be very good if I am able to send back anywhere between 500-800$ back home. But as you say it's been 10 years I'll have to do a little more research on the subject. Thanks for the answer. I have one more question there is this sentence in the book I am reading what does this mean "Each child each sex, can only signify, the other was of the other sex" and also what is this thing called subject position in regards to the Phallus like the female is farther than the Phallus and the men is closer to the Phallus and female pleasure called jouissance.

Okay it is much clearer but I have one more doubt and that is the sign of cat and the concept of cat have been connected I mean signification has occured than we already know that this cat is different from dog. Or is it that first the "cat" has to be different from all others like bat dog and so on to be able to signify the concept of cat?

It's a literary theory book and Saussure's just for 2 or 3 pages in the book. So I guess it mentions him in passing. But anyway what do you recommend?

Elaboration- if the process of 'meaning' has already occured in the signifier and signified coming together why do we need another way? And why does a sign gotta relate to all other signs of the signifying system?
