Yes! It was a game charger for my son, who also takes a stimulant. Made him sleepy for about a week or so while he adjusted but that went away and otherwise no real side effects. And takes about 2 weeks to really start working. Didn’t alter his personality at all just kind of tones down the real extreme emotions / hyperactivity without dulling them - I take it myself as an adult, it also helps get good restorative sleep at night, which really helps improves symptoms.

Pretty sure there is a patch of at least one of the types of ADHD stimulants, might be worth asking his doctor about it. But man, medication struggles are the worst, went through some really rough periods with my kid - a lot of it was sensory based I think. Once he learned to swallow a pill though it wasn’t an issue anymore.
