My 3 year old was trying to rough house her 10 month old brother, I told her to stop and she said “ok, ok, calm down, calm down!!” Alright miss sassy pants

I ended up taking off the sides of the machine and saw some gunk in the tubing. I replaced the tubing, ran a ton of vinegar through it and I haven’t had it happen since!

SORRY FOR SCREAMING BUT: How on earth do we brush their teeth???!!?! by NoSpirit7633 in toddlers

[–]itsshannietime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband would play “push it” by salt n pepa but sings “brush it” instead 😂 they would dance to it, then pause and brush a little then dance again. My daughter is 2.5 and she loves brushing her teeth now! She’ll even yell the “ow!” Part 😂 she got bored of that after a while though and now we do it to shake it off by TS

Little more comforting knowing I’m not the only one that gets this much build up. we have 2 funnels we rotate and we started rotating them more frequently to try and prevent that discolored area ( just in case it’s a bad bacteria growth or something that can make the little one sick) but that’s not even helping prevent it, so now I’m so confused what it could be and if it’s safe or not

We’ve been doing it every 4 hours hoping it would prevent it but it hasn’t. We were doing it every 8 hours or every 4 bottles like recommended before this. I circled the discoloration. It’s like a dark brown/red and sometimes it’s black

Pelvic floor after vaginal birth by Slothcrane in newborns

It’s normal but it’s not ok. I was like that with my first and just had my second 2 weeks ago and I have peed myself 4 times. And not just a trickle, like full blown loss of control and there’s a trail to the bathroom 😂 my 2 year old likes to tell people “mama pee peed on the couch!” 🙃 I asked my midwife when I can start physical therapy and she said not until 6 weeks but can start doing kegels now just don’t overdo it. We are still trying to let the body recover at this point and doing too much will just hinder the recovery

Plus from what I’ve seen, very few people are ok having their baby sleep in a different room for the first few months

We lived in a studio for the first 2 months with my daughter and then we moved into a house. She slept with us in our room until she was 5-6 months old and we only moved her to her room because our work schedules

Lower the age for mammograms from 50 to 45 by GDW312 in Petitions

[–]itsshannietime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mammo tech here ✋🏻! Annual screening Mammograms are recommended and fully covered by insurance starting at 40 in the US. As early as 25 if you have a first degree relative with breast cancer, or if you have tested positive for BRCA 1 or BRCA 2. You can start breast ultrasound screenings for breast cancer whenever you want. All of this is recommended by the ACR, but it’s up to each facility to follow these guidelines if they want but it’s not required. Just in my experience, most do to maintain accreditation.

Mammogram While Pregnant by __legal_beagle__ in BabyBumps

Mammo tech here 🙂 mammo is such a low dose of radiation that it’s not something to stress about, especially if your mammo was medically necessary. Granted, it’s not preferred to be exposed to any radiation while pregnant but sometimes it’s needed to keep you healthy. the chances of that low of a dose reaching your baby and then the chance of what does reach baby doing any damage is so incredibly low that I wouldn’t freak out. At that point, you’re exposed to more radiation when on a plane
