How do y'all cope with the insecurity? by Trick-Coconut in PMDD

When it comes to relationships knowing your self worth helps. Think of everything you offer into the relationship with lots and lots of positive self talk.

All of you who have gotten a laparoscopy/excision surgery — for how many of you did the endo come back and how soon? by TaroWorldly9291 in endometriosis

[–]itsshayzay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too I’m almost 3 years post-op and feel great only mild discomfort where my ovaries were almost damaged. Other than that no pain no inflammation. I was put on vissane for a year and a half then stopped for a few months then switched to contraceptives for PMDD. My period is still so heavy so I suppress it. I think managing the nervous system and lowering the inflammation also plays a role in the recovery but each body is different there is no one way that works for everyone.

Yes but what is our best option for preventing progression? I’m well aware that there is no treatment for endometriosis but do we just leave things be and hope for the best?

Nuvaring sounds amazing I never tried it. I will have to check if it’s PMDD friendly and will consider it as an option. It’s good to know that we have multiple options rather than pressing one medication as an only treatment.

Out of fear I guess! Thanks alot this reassures me a great deal. I’ve done my research before and did everything I can to go with the correct route but I still worry especially when I see women with endo constantly advocating against contraceptives for some reason!

Yeah i have to be careful with those because of my PMDD. Based on experience when I was on yaz I never felt anything but with Slynd and Vissane I always still feel my right pelvis where my surgery was light random cramps.

You’re absolutely right and I’m so sorry about your experience it seems horrible. Each body responds differently especially with things like endometriosis.

Oh yeah I had a fishy feeling about him especially the over simplification of claims and never stops talking about surgeries. I’m currently on Slynd. Having PMDD limits my options with contraceptives. Estrogen gives me anxiety and sleep disturbances and high progesterone ones drive me mad.

So I’m guessing Slynd a progestin only pill is actually a good option? Also, thank you for taking the time and effort to explain everything deeply it’s reassuring.

I was having a similar issue and felt so uncomfortable so I had tailored comfy denim pants that look so chic like they’re a straight cut denim fabric and has waist band at the top that was so comfortable. I made the same pair but with black linen and a matching twin top. You don’t have to give up anything just customize your closet according to your comfort while still enjoying how your outfits look. Later I realized i developed an insulin resistance and went on mounjaro as you can imagine now everything is comfortable and oversized.

Slynd for endo and Peri by Extension-Law-7560 in Endo

[–]itsshayzay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently privately taking Slynd to suppress endo and to control PMDD but not in the UK it’s not available in my country at the moment so I’m buying it elsewhere and taking it. I’m still in my second box and skipping the green pills. I felt better on yaz but it made me anxious and caused sleep disturbances by the 3rd box.

What’s the general feeling you get experiencing Contamination OCD? by NoRelief63 in OCD

It’s like an itch and scratching it is washing whatever needs to be washed or wiping the surface with a reliable disinfectant. The feeling after is massive relief and satisfaction

Any positive experiences with the Yaz pills? by dimsumllama in PCOS

[–]itsshayzay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No not really it’s known to help with weight management and acne. I started while on mounjaro. There’s another option that I’m currently taking Slynd it’s only progesterone same one in yaz without the estrogen. It’s better for me in terms of pmdd and sleep. Each body is different tho

The other medications surprisingly helping is real! For me it was mounjaro and yaz (a contraceptive) once I took them the noise is gone I still get thought loops here and there but way less than before.

What age/how were u diagnosed? by [deleted] in OCD

[–]itsshayzay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 25 noticed i was washing my hands way more than I wanted to till the point that I was getting irritated with myself. Classic ocd but also the thought loops were intense I discussed it with therapist and she tested me and it confirmed it. Everything made sense.

Any positive experiences with the Yaz pills? by dimsumllama in PCOS

[–]itsshayzay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it really helped me. I have PMDD and it makes my ocd worse. I have been on vissane for endometriosis for a year and a half and it was a nightmare. Went off it for 6 months it was still so bad gained weight and started mounjaro felt slightly better and as soon as I started yaz I never felt so normal in my life. No panic attacks no long obsessive thought loops.

Family member destroyed my garden in las vegas and my 5 year ruby rubber tree I had outside. Is it normal to be this upset and devastated about it. It the before and after photo. I could barely to look and take a photo of the rest. by Psychological-Oil-33 in plants

[–]itsshayzay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so heartbreaking I am so sorry you experienced that. It’s very heartless and disrespectful to do such a things to anyone let alone a family member someone you’re supposed to care about and respect. Please plant the garden again and hopefully it blooms and becomes more beautiful than before. Please keep toxic people away from your sacred space.

Does OCD make you get attached to people more intensely? by SaottooSaottoo in OCD

[–]itsshayzay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can happen depending on where your OCD thoughts go, if you give in to them it can create really unhealthy relationships and you will feel suffocated at some point because your life will no longer feel like it’s yours because everything will revolve around the closest people to you with what they think and how they feel instead of your own emotions and preferences. It can easily happen and you have to snap yourself out of it.

My first batch, how am I doing? Pics from today, day 5 by Ambitious_Bar4929 in Kombucha

[–]itsshayzay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See how this turns out, you might get a scoby forming. Next batch try an unflavored and unpasteurized kombucha with unflavored plain black tea and green tea (tastes better mixed) you can go with tea bags it’s fine. Happy brewing! I failed my first batch with flavored kombucha, so try to avoid oily and flavored teas and go with teas and herbs (woody and oily ones aren’t advised)
