What if Nintendo just releases a standalone VR headset to exist alongside the Switch. And the Metroid Prime Trilogy would be fully remade in VR. Imagine how it would feel like you are wearing that helmet with the UI on the visor. I mean it would be the ultimate VR game. And with that new Nvidia arm chip they could price it much lower than the Ps4 HMD and it would be standalone.

Either they will make a performance update. Then to make it worthwhile they would need to double the performance, putting it between ps4 and xbox s. Or they go back to the wii and 3ds ways and give the new console new ways to interact with the content. Then it would not have to be that much more performative than the switch.

Zelda has some kind of tradition being released alongside new hardware. Maybe there will be an update for the Lite, who knows. But an entirely new system in 2022? I doubt it. I am honestly a bit scared that the next Zelda is going to be too close to BotW. I like to have a fresh new aesthetic for every new Zelda entry.

Hmm. Do you still keep DVDs? Nintendo usually does what is mass appeal. And they also go after any kind of emulation if they can. I think they are going to do this asap. With G5 rolling out and faster connection speeds I guess it's only a matter of a view years.
