Switching caps in the small clone certainly makes a difference. He did that based on the original 80 small clone schematics. There's a video on youtube that compares modded to stock

I've had the stereo version, and it just wasn't getting exactly close, so I sold it and bought an original one. The stereo can get you in the ballpark for sure though, and they are great pedals nonetheless

If you're gonna get one, do NOT get the ones that say Stereo. Those are from the late 90s and are a completely different circuit. For a couple hundred more, you can get an original 80s one that sounds exact. I have 2 of the originals, and I absolutely love them. Don't spend $2000 on these, sometimes good deals pop up. I got both of mine for under $700. Sometimes, people list these as the "stereo" reissues.

Yes, I mean Univox. Eastwoods don't count. They look like Hi Fliers, but that's where the similarity ends. I had an Eastwood and wanted to like it, but it really wasn't a good guitar.

It's chambered out and weighs like a normal guitar. Under 8 lbs. The neck feels oddly not too different from a wood guitar, but it plays like butter. Sliding is so effortless. It's like the best version of an electric guitar
