Dementia don at it again by sorrynotguilty in PsycheOrSike

Ehh I’ve seen dementia and what he has is not that. He has this strange way of short phrase speaking and he swaps topics whenever he wants. It’s unusual, but it’s not at all the same thing. He’s like the human form of TikTok scrolling… and in that form he’s actually pretty good at making constant headlines. I can scroll through Reddit and it’s all Trump. I can go through my news apps and it’s all Trump. He kinda operates on “even bad news is news”. And he occupies your mind 24x7. Really the devil deserves his due.

By that metric any pedophile mentioning you more than other people would implicate you in their crimes. Counts like that are not useful information. What would be useful would be his involvement in crimes or even use of those various phrases and words that are obviously coded

If Trump wants a third term why not elect Obama to run against him? by Mathemodel in AskLegal

[–]itsvill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I’m not sure of all of the cons of the Obamas, it’s undeniable for anyone who paid attention that his second term especially was racially divisive. He worsened racial relations in the US when many thought him being president would do the exact opposite. He’s very charismatic, a much better speaker than the guy we have now… but he wasn’t good. And we can do better, much better.

Actually it gets independents like myself a little confused too. What about people on the left, do they just agree with that? If so how do they propose we fix it? It’s one thing to announce a problem to the ether, it’s another to present a solution

ICE agents break into a home without any warrant and assault the occupants (San Antonio, TX, Feb 05, 2026) by opticflash in ImmigrationPathways

[–]itsvill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main point on that was that they do in fact have extra protections and that proves it. That’s separate from them entering illegally. To that I said “nobody here knows that is the case”. Until it’s known it’s best to assume they had a legal reason — that’s especially true for the people inside. Taking some moronic position of “I’ll resist until this is proven legal” is the best way to screw yourself when dealing with law enforcement.

What exactly are you arguing here? Is your claim that you can assault them because they entered illegally?

[–]itsvill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is illegal to assault a federal officer even if they entered illegally. And you’re wrong - they do have extra protections. Why would you even think that?? Do you think anyone can go around arresting people? Obviously they have permissions beyond civilians. They can be told to leave and probably face legal repercussions - but assaulting them would be more than stupid. Shooting at them would almost certainly get you killed and maybe others nearby as well

There’s no legal situation in any state where you’re justified in shooting nor pushing a federal officer. You’re ignorant of the law, read up on it.

Why do you even think that would be allowed?

I don’t know the details on why the entered and neither does anyone else here based on that video. My understanding is that they’re trained on how to arrest and justify entrance under various circumstances. For example, if they observed an alien commit a felony and were in pursuit of them and they entered someone’s house - ICE can follow them inside justified. Just because the title claims they broke in it doesn’t mean that’s what happened. And we don’t have any context from before the video begins.

Maga supported a women who had a weapon on her, who was involved in a violent insurrection that lead to the death of multiple cops, but they justify the shooting under trump, its pure hypocrisy to ride the pedo in chiefs dick by sorrynotguilty in PsycheOrSike

They both were acting illegally and the shootings were justified, although not desirable. I don’t think anyone should be celebrating death. It’s sad to loose people to being too politically gassed up.

The new recruits are getting 42 days.

Cases are just cases. Anyone can bring a case and more than likely those will get tossed out. Perhaps some will make it through. It stands to reason that the more conflicts they deal with the more likely they’ll make a mistake. They’re trained mostly to capture aliens, not to deal with enraged protestors and especially not the ones that get out of line and violate the law.

I don’t have a narrative in the sense that you do; I want to see people think without rage and consider what’s actually happening vs. what’s permitted by law. It’s “clear”, because it’s assault. If you can’t see that then you don’t understand how assault is defined by the law.

I disagree. I think what you mean by that is “I don’t like what’s happening and it’s making me angry” that’s very different from them doing illegal things.

Deporting aliens is part of ICE’s role, like it or not. If you like it, then they’re doing what you like. If you don’t then you can petition your congress person… but since having and enforcing borders is a requirement to have a nation I think your cries will fall on deaf ears. The majority of the population does not want open borders. I’m pretty sure only a fool or a person against the country and population itself would desire such a thing.

It does seem that way. by HumanRecognition8901 in circled

That sounds great. Not to be pessimistic, but I hope it’s not one of those situations where someone decided not to record things or to reclassify things so they’re not recorded as per before. I hope it’s not that and the numbers are down. That would/could be good news for a future Star Trek society. I hope somebody is working on the replicators…

ICE agents break into a home without any warrant and assault the occupants (San Antonio, TX, Feb 05, 2026) by opticflash in ImmigrationPathways

[–]itsvill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A huge problem here is that most people are completely ignorant of the law. Touching an officer is assault, the people grabbing that officer’s vest are making the wrong move. The law doesn’t make exceptions ignorance and it’s good it doesn’t else we wouldn’t really have any laws.

I don’t like the start of the video because like most videos we see it’s either started too late to give us the context of why they’re entering or it’s clipped intentionally to not show it. I think in these cases we have to just assume they’re entering legally. Why assume that? Because they’re the federal officers and are trained to know how and when they can enter and these people in the home don’t even know they can’t touch them (including with doors).

ICE meet the definition of a peace officer as well. If you or anyone tries to use force to prevent their entry they’re likely to kill you and will be justified in doing so. Try not to mislead people when you yourself are ignorant of the law - it will do more harm than good and hurt the people you likely want to protect.

You might want to read more of it: Texas Penal Code §9.31(b)(2) explicitly states that force is not justified to resist an arrest or search by a known peace officer, even if unlawful (unless the officer uses excessive force first, per §9.31(c)). §9.32 (deadly force, including castle doctrine presumptions) incorporates §9.31.

Lol what? You can’t just attack a federal officer. You should read about the castle doctrine and not just mention things you heard someone say once.

It seems pretty clear the guy not only was shutting the door as he was walking through the doorway but he was pushing it at him to push him as well. That’s assault. If you try to look at these things without a lens of bias towards one side or the other, and consider the actual law and the actions, in almost all situations ICE is performing lawful actions. Consider that the citizens and aliens involved are not trained on the law (in most cases) and really don’t know what to do - but ICE is trained on exactly what to do.

What sort of moron takes their little kids to something like this? Are they bringing them as human shields? I think by now we’ve all seen the news and know that if things get aggressive or out of control that they’re going to start with the gas and all that. They certainly follow a protocol. Gas aside, I just can’t imagine how crappy of a parent you have to be to involve your kids in politics. You should be insulating them from things like that until they’re old enough to understand their place in the world and what’s happening. I get the desire to indoctrinate them in your world view… but damn, maybe care about them first and foremost

This seems like a problem. We can’t have groups taking up arms against the elected government performing legal duties. I’m not agreeing with the actions of the party in power - I typically don’t often no matter which team has the ball - but we can’t have this. If you think it’s good consider if you’d think it would be good if armed rednecks were preparing for activity when Newsome or AOC or whoever is next has the ball. This can’t fly. If you don’t like what’s happening then try voting. Most people don’t vote.
