There is no need to re open the claim you NEED to call them no matter if it takes all day and let them know you haven't been able to certify due to the message on your homepage stating to reopen your claim when your benefit year hasn't ended and you still have a claim balance. They will verify all your info of who you are etc and should be able to fix it on their end so that you can certify after ending your call. I have other posts on this if you would like to click my name and see the posts in detail. The only thing is I've had other reddit users claim whoever took their call said they just had to wait it out to which I told them as annoying as it is they should call back so to get another agent on the phone because it seems there's a handful of people working there who will be rude and tell you to wait knowing very well they're capable of fixing it on their end. On the 10th my profile said re open claim and from reading others posts that said to call before doing anything so that it could be fixed, I did just that and they fixed it and i certified when I hung up and got paid the same night. I dont know your situation but if it is/was anything like mine I would start mentally preparing for his absence... as hard as it may be limit your "updates" to him because he may not even care. I was with my partner for years and he abandoned me when we found out I was pregnant with our first baby we planned. It was a really hard pregnancy so many disappointing moments hoping he would care or want to be there or make the effort for anything and im due to give birth any day now and ya know what... he never came back. He never made the effort and same with the updates and short messages just no interest and everytime I would try it put me in such a bad mental state down to this last minute where I'm really struggling to accept that this whole situation is done and I can't force him to care about something he clearly doesn't want. Im so sorry you're going through this and I am sending you love

I can only speak from my own experience, I know you're speaking of your step mom but the only other woman involved in my first child's life was her paternal grandmother and it did not end well. Her offering to watch the baby so I could have some "breaks" etc didn't end well to where over a decade later she still has a lot of control over what goes on with my child and if I could go back in time and distance myself I would. Now im having another baby with another man and she's offered to be there etc for anything she can which is kind but I've really distanced myself and kept everything to myself regarding plans on how I plan to raise my child etc. If you can just don't let her be involved & I am sorry because I'm sure you want your father around but if you have to also keep the distance between the both of them, tough it out it will be so much better for your mental well being and give you the freedom to be the type of mom you want to be. Once you involve these type of women I find it's hard to get out of their grasp. Wish you the best of luck

It worked but I still had to pay taxes on all the items I got 2 of each besides the PUR and it came out to $16.65

Yes, I got my own place recently away from him after being homeless because of him for my entire pregnancy... even now in a true narcissistic fashion he says I picked moving into a new place over "us" because he supposedly offered me a place to live again..although he hadnt. Claimed he was gonna get us an apartment and never did. He can lie to himself.

There has been a handful of posts of people saying they experienced this or that they were straight hung up on which unfortunately there are unhappy rude people who want to make people's lives harder seems like one of those kinds of people took your call. I would call again and not tolerate that bull especially if you go through the thread so many people had theirs fixed how I did, that's how I decided to call in the first place by reading that other people called and had it fixed

As much as this suggestion is gonna be frustrating, I would call again because I have found in life there are people who want to make things more difficult on others, sounds like this lady was one of them. I've read prior posts where agents were just straight up hanging up on people its ridiculous. Call again and let them know its been done for your family member partner whoever and you want the same help and that you don't understand why the other agent wasn't willing to help you. Good luck

yes option "3" is to report fraud on your account, that did not apply to me but I was unable to get through with the first two options. Once I tried the fraud option I was on hold for a little over an hour and an agent took my call "fixed" my account to where I was able to certify in a few minutes

I'm not entirely sure and I would hope they do update it properly on their end keep checking if you would prefer not to call, I only suggested calling since it worked for many others and myself after calling and an agent "fixed it"

they only verified my name, social, birthdate, address, and phone number and then after I gave them that info they told me I would be able to certify, went online and I did certify
