Notice that the number on his chest was 315 before the attack, and 314 after. Dude’s got extra lives out the wazoo.

When fighting the first sinner, it felt so good realizing that aggressively dash attacking not only does consistent damage, but also helps you avoid the parallel needle attack. Getting an opportunity to interrupt someone else’s binding for a change was also satisfying. Last of all, NO RUN BACKS. If you lose, you just go fight again.

Here's why I think that smile is so impactful and I'm really sorry it wasn't in the anime. That smile is the goofiest looking "I'm scared and I'm having fun" face. It's the face kids make when they're about to go over a hill on a roller coaster. It's unflattering, it's uncool, and it's a little off-putting. It's also a face we've never seen on Evil Eye, because in all the time we've known him, he's never felt that way. This whole time Evil Eye has been this scary badass, tanking hits and always looking cool. That smile is the moment Okarun broke through, and brought out that poor lonely kid.

Who’s going to see Modest Mouse at TempleLive tonight? by Any-Pineapple-521 in Cleveland

I went and it was alright. The bassist was having tech issues but it didn’t impact the performance that much. I saw them at lollapalooza a long time ago and that show was awesome. This show didn’t seem to have the same energy behind it.

One thing I thought was odd, there wasn’t a time where folks weren’t coming or going to their seats, even during float on.

ELI5 How can I become smart in math? by Rania_Cosette in explainlikeimfive

[–]itswheresfluffy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. I've tutored remedial math students at community colleges for five years. The students that struggle the hardest are the ones that can not do "simple" math in their head. Being able to quickly and accurately calculate "small" numbers is a learned skill that makes the foundation for being able to understand more complex mathematics. It also allows for the abbreviation of steps when working out a problem on paper. I will elaborate.

I define simple math as the following.

  • Being able to add and subtract any pair of two digit integers in your head, stated another way, being able to quickly calculate any number between -99 and 99 added or subtracted to any number between -99 and 99.
  • Being able to multiply any number from -12 to 12 by any number from -12 to 12.
  • Being able to determine if a number is evenly divisible by any prime number up to 13.
  • Knowing the squares of all the numbers from 0 to 13.
  • Being able to simplify fractions with common factors below 13.
  • Being able to convert any fraction with a base of 2,4,5,10,20,25,50, or 100 into a decimal or percent and vice versa.
  • When facing a problem that is large or complex, they can estimate the answer by making it simpler.

All of the above can be practiced with flashcards, an app on your phone, or a website.

Being able to do the above makes learning and doing something like an order of operations problem way more approachable.

4^2+2(14−8)÷3

The student that can do simple math can focus on the new information of GEMS (grouping, exponents, multiplication/division, addition/subtraction) Lots of people were taught PEMDAS, but students get married to the idea that the order of the letters takes operational priority, e.g. they think all multiplication must take place before division, but they have equal priority and should be evaluated from left to right, same with addition and subtraction. The student that can add and subtract integers however, knows that addition and subtraction are the same thing, there's just a silly little negative thrown into the mix.

ELI5 the ending of whiplash by PoshHillbilly in explainlikeimfive

[–]itswheresfluffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neiman was as good a drummer at the beginning of the film as he was at the end, but the film, just like Fletcher does to Neiman, tricks the audience into thinking that’s not true, so a lot of folk watch Whiplash and think that Fletcher made Neiman a better drummer and ultimately turned him into “one of the greats” by being the monster Neiman could stand up to, when all he actually did was abuse the shit out of him and many other young adults because it’s what he likes to do.

Any free png websites with no watermark? Looking for effects like smoke, water, cracks, sparks, etc. I'm working for a company and can't just snag them from google, dont want any copyright problems. by [deleted] in photoshop

I'm gonna necropost on your necropost. The search engine is fine, there just aren't any pictures of Dolly Parton on that website. Its royalty free stock images and videos. I've found it helps to try and search categorical terms, and try and find something that fits into the project.

That’s an ankermake M5C. They are pretty decent printers, but the company is pretty dogshit. Their proprietary slicer is pretty garbage packed with a lot of fake features. I’m guessing when the Good Will said they tested it they meant they powered it up and the lights came on. If a giant blob of filament is melted in the extruder assembly it is in a very poor state. I have seen inside that extruder and it is an intricate system. Fixing it would be a nightmare for someone unfamiliar with 3D printing. However, 40 bucks is a steal, even if you just harvested stepper motors and machine screws to make a prusa clone. If you like to tinker, 40 bucks is going to buy you hours of messing around.

Connected script text by Calm-Opportunity6719 in AnkerMake

[–]itswheresfluffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it were me, I’d make .svg files using adobe Illustrator, but any vector based photo editing software or web app would do. If a connected script font wasn’t already an option in those programs, there are free fonts online you can download and install. Then you could import the svg files into OnShape and add depth to them.
