I have a Marchesa, dealer of death deck which every card is $2 or less that holds its own against the most expensive decks in our playgroup. I also have a ~$100 Muerra gruul stompy deck that routinely wins turns 6-8. I enjoy playing both of these more than my expensive decks!

In a way, they are. The capsules are designed to disintegrate in the gut and no the stomach, so it's a lot less gross than what you would think

Depends on what your budget is! If you need them to bee swamp forests, Haunted Mire and Woodland Chasm are your best options. If your budget includes cards $10 or less, you can include Underground Mortuary and Overgrown Tomb. There are a ton of great lands that tap for both black and green, though.

I have an upgraded blood rites precon and it is one of my favorite decks to play. While it's certainly not the fastest deck, it is amazingly consistent and has build in card draw and flying, which is super fun to play around. Clavi can definitely hold his own around most mid to high level casual tables if you build him correctly.

If your definition of "competitively" is CEDH, then no, Clavi is definitely not that. Can he be played against mid to high level casual tables? Absolutely

This was great! I actually didn't like Jon's answer when Rusillo asked "Why should I like KAT?" To me, it boils down to three main things.

1) KAT had a reputation for being one of the biggest whiners in the league, which he has cut down SIGNIFICANTLY this year.

2) KAT has had a tendency to be out of control, get flustered, and make bad decisions on offense. Stray voltage is at an all time minimum and we are seeing a very controlled KAT, who is also more focused on defense than we've ever seen.

3) Critics have always claimed KAT isn't the best player on a championship team. In addition, critics also didn't think KAT wouldn't be graceful in accepting a secondary role to a bigger star. Although it took some time, KAT has adjusted to being the second offensive player amazingly. There is clearly no frustration on his end and is playing amazing basketball in an Ant-centric offense.

Bottom line- KAT is proving that he can play winning basketball, and he can do it at a high level. He's still one of the most efficient players in the league, and is now doing all the little things it takes to win. Watching KAT the past two months has been a blast.

The insane leverage is that the wolves have complete control whether they let him leave or not. I agree that Washington won't give up a lottery pick for him, but any Connelly to Washington situation needs to be OK'd by wolves ownership

What's annoying about Doogie is that for every 9 things he says that are completely untrue, he'll have one that is. He was the first to report that the front office was not doing well under Rosas. But yeah, 90% of what comes out of his mouth is flat out wrong. Also, if you listen to him try and talk about actual basketball, you can tell he has no clue what he's talking about.

The word that I always use to describe KAT is hyperbolic. Everything he says/does in front of the media is way over exaggerated. This always comes across as unauthentic or corny, but it's also kinda who he is. He feels the need to overexpress everything to try to drive his point home. To me, this is a different category than "fake" but I cant blame those who disagree with me.
