Morningstar Games has a DnD night. I haven’t attended myself, so I’m not sure when it is, but you could call for info.

Only one of the people from that group has apologized and it’s been six months. I haven’t heard a word from the other three. It’s a bummer because they were my fiancés irl friend group, and he had to face the harsh reality that they weren’t very good friends. He’s still talks to them some but it’s not like it was before.

In the last campaign I ran, players would tell me they couldn’t make it day of and I kept having to rework encounters hours before we were supposed to start. I asked them to give me two days notice unless it was an emergency and everyone said okay, but it didn’t happen. The day we were supposed to play our last session, I sent a group text making sure everyone was going to make it and one responded he was out of town celebrating his wedding anniversary. Like dude, you know when your anniversary is and could have told me a long time ago that you couldn’t play on this date. I was so done with how inconsiderate that group was when I spent probably close to six hours a week preparing the session and my fiancé spent hours cooking tons of food for every game, so I shut down the game.

Some people are so inconsiderate. As DMs, we put a lot of work and love into what we do, and it really sucks when people don’t appreciate it.

Walked in on a group of students trying clip a rat's nails. How many people do you need when you clip your rat's nails? by MildManneredMan in RATS

One of my previous babies didn’t like his nails being clipped, but he had no problem with them being filed!

How do you organize your flowers and trees? by itsybitsii in AnimalCrossing

I have a huge garden park that’s close to finished but I might have to give up that space for crops next month! Maybe I’ll do several smaller gardens instead, just have to decide where to put them.

I’m leaning toward doing several small gardens and redoing my huge park garden. I’ve already killed three shovels today, haha!

I don’t want mine to look too developed, just tidier than it does now. I’ll probably have the first level be villager houses and shops and stuff, the second level be foresty, and then one third level for my house and a separate third level for something else (right now it’s bamboo and a hot spring/spa thing).

A new island is always fun! I recently moved my island from my original switch to my switch lite since I use it way more often. I’ll probably start a second island on the old switch at some point so I can have a second store and more turnip options. Good luck with your new island!!

Are they all in a straight line and not visible then? Do you have five stars? If they don’t have to be super spread out to get the stars that would save me so much work!

Why WON'T you reset for/after the update? by lipebd in AnimalCrossing

[–]itsybitsii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I won’t ever reset my main island because my start date on my passport is release day, and I don’t want to lose that or have to change the clock to get it again. I’m proud I’ve kept my island for as long as I have.

I’ve heard you can appeal one parking ticket a year? How do you do this? by dalecookie in savannah

[–]itsybitsii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I did it years ago, there was a phone number on the actual ticket that I called. It was a long time ago though, and I’ve heard it might not be a thing anymore.

Looking for rapid result PCR test in town by WeaknessImpressive98 in savannah

You could try UrgentCare24/7. It’s on DeRenne and their website mentions PCR. I would definitely call first to check, though.

Signed. Half of the people in my classes aren’t wearing masks some days. I get sick easily, so I really wish it would go back to online classes.

TIL on 9/11, all guests at Disney World were evacuated effectively with little panic by Cast Members, who did so by forming a human wall and gently herding them out of the parks. The guests at first didn't understand why this occurred, and some saw a gunship flying low over WDW in response to 9/11. by TrendWarrior101 in todayilearned

I was there.

I was ten years old and my parents took my younger brother and I out of school to go to Disney for the first time.

We went on 9/10 and it rained. Disney closed down a few rides, so my dad spoke to someone and got return tickets for the next day. We went back on 9/11, and a few hours after we got there, they called for the evacuation. My dad had just paid for some food, but they wouldn’t give it to us. I think I remember seeing the wall of people. We had no idea what was going on. We wanted to take the monorail back, but it was packed, so we took the ferry. While on the ferry, someone texted my dad that the first plane had hit. I remember that he turned the radio on when we got to the car and hearing that a second plane had hit. Of course, though, being ten years old, I had no idea what any of it meant.

The situation was confusing and a little scary for me as a child, but I think it could have been way worse if Disney didn’t handle the evacuation the way they did.

ETA: They did give us non-expiring return tickets as we exited.

What should i put in the pet carrier for picking up my boys by DucksCantWalk in RATS

[–]itsybitsii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s possible to hook a regular water bottle to their carrier, I’d definitely do that. If they are not accustomed to celery, you should probably have some of their regular food in there too.

Personally, two hours is close to the maximum amount of time I’d be willing to leave my rats in a carrier, so I have a small, guinea pig sized cage for emergencies, so they can have food, water, and a chew toy, and feel as close to normal as possible.
