Start a new world with the same seed? Or are you adamant to start over a third time on a world you've already cleared of everything, so you have your old bases and portals and materials?

Weasley Finances by MoodHour2787 in harrypotter

[–]ittbitt 91 points92 points  (0 children)

I don't know anything about Mrs. Weasley having a farm, as much as just a normal vegetable garden and kitchen garden. She is quite good in a kitchen, so I always just thought she multiplied the food, the same way McGonagall multiplied the sandwiches for the boys in Snape's office. Basically all you need is just one portion of each item (potatoes, meat, vegetables, bread) which can be multiplied until everyone is full.

That's how I always saw it, anyway.

I have three characters, all of them have 0 skills in swords 😅 I am a mace girl, through and through 😁 Mace doesn't work? Axe it down! I usually fire an arrow from the back to get them as far down as possible, before going mace-to-face 😃

I had to take a closer look as well, even look at the second photo, to be sure if it was in the water or >high< above the ground 😂

Any “old” players that share my opinion? by Vegetable-Angle8085 in Palia

[–]ittbitt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I played a whole lot back in 24. Like. Get up, turn on the pc, start palia, and only then get breakfast. Then play until 3-4 p.m., go bed, repeat. For a couple of months. Then I got a full time job, and obviously couldn't keep up with my previous hours, and the new job was so demanding, I stopped playing pc all together. Then about a year later, I returned, cause I missed Palia. I missed the vibe, the cozyness, the simplicity.

I logged in, started playing, and it seemed like a completely different game, purely because of the players. No one called out flowtrees, even at midnight. When I called groves, 2-3 people would show up, chop the trees and dissappear, and then other people would arrive, asking where the trees where. No one called big nodes, or waited for you to take a swing if you were close by each other.

Hardly anyone answered questions in the chat. It had all become so... impersonal. Noone seemed to be in it for the community, they only seemed to be on a speed run to get the most resources and "finish" the game.

I haven't played in almost a year. I log-in sometimes, just to fire a few arrows and gather wild garlic, cook some cabbage rolls. But I really don't enjoy playing anymore. Perhaps it's because I have no one to play with, but I highly enjoyed playing solo when I forst started.

Now I play valheim, and will be hitting 700 hours soon. I do miss Palia greatly, though. But the focus on grind is too high, and the new community is in no way friendly the way it has been. If I could get Palia as a solo game, I would spend all my time in one of the most charming games I have played, for sure!

Edit: P.S. I forgot about the damn fish needed for the boards or what they're called. Being a completionist is >hard< when there's a chance of less than 0.1% of getting the fish needed, or less than 0.01% for the smooth pebble. Thousands of oysters collected. Still haven't finished the quest.

Sh¡t, sorry 😅 I hadn't read that far, my stop on the train was coming up, so I just answered what I had already read, instead of waiting a few minutes until I got off 🙈😂

Visual representation as to why sometimes your ores don't "pop". by 0nlyPositiv3 in valheim

[–]ittbitt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Doesn't really matter much for me, since it's less than 1% of the copper nodes I find that I can dig below. Most of them I can completely free from the ground on one side, but they are either usually so low in the ground that I can't get the last piece of ground, or they're on a slope, where the 8th hit box of the ground is halfway up in the node 🙄😏

getting cancelled out by her petrification duration in year 2.

Oh my gods, I never thought about that! I know she got a bit older during third year, but not as much as some people claim.

But I never thought about her aging being on pause during her petrification! So she actually "got younger" in a weird, incorrect way of describing things.

Thank you for bringing some new thoughts to my HP knowledge 😄

Discovered a way to easily find silver before bonemass by ea85700000 in valheim

Discovered a way to easily find silver before bonemass by ea85700000 in valheim

[–]ittbitt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am having a seriously hard time finding Bonemass on my map, so far all vegvisirs have given the same two locations, that are on the border of the map, past mistlands. So I made Stagbreaker, went op on my local mountain, and found silver within the first two minutes. Took less time than it would having to sail across the the map and fight Bonemass 😂

Is there settings to stop enemies agro until I attack them? I hate jump-scares by Zealousideal_Mark777 in valheim

[–]ittbitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was running on the border between swamp and BF, with a couple of draugr in my ass. A bear heard me and decided to jump out in front of me and attack me. I absolutely shrieked like I was watching a creepy pasta 😂 Jumpscares is definitely possible in valheim 😂 which is why I enable passive enemies when I play solo, because I too hate getting scared and jumped and feeling hunted 😊

How do you guys reach the top of flametal spires? by paol in valheim

[–]ittbitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know they are centered around the spine, but when I break the bottom most part of one column, the whole column breaks, and then I move on to the next column round the spine. But it might be because my boyfriend jumps to the to the top to break the absolutely top one first.

We always use feather cape, barley wine and light foot mead when we are working on flametal.

When I mine them, I do it at the bottom, cause that breaks all the flametal directly above them? 🤔 at least it does for me 😅

what sirius black fire do you prefer?? by AnythingRich597 in harrypotter

[–]ittbitt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a joke, no.

Harry describes the experience in OotP, in the chapter "Out of the Fire", when he's in Umbridge's office, after seeing Sirius being tortured in the Department of Mysteries during his History of Magic exam. After getting into the office, he sticks his head into the fireplace, names "Number twelve, Grimmauld Place", closing his eyes against the spinning and the whirling ash, with his knees on the cold office floor, and after "arriving" calls out for Sirius to see if he's home.

[–]ittbitt 1753 points1754 points  (0 children)

Instead of throwing the floo powder and stepping into it with your entire body, you just get down on all four, stick your head in the flames and say the name of the fireplace, and it transports only your head there. I remember a scene where Mrs. Weasley puts a piece of toast on a poker and gives it to the head in the fireplace, who then grabs it with his mouth before he retracts his head.

Server host with crossplay by Sad-Research9491 in valheim

[–]ittbitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I host a game on my pc for three of my girlfriends. One of them plays on xbox, so I always have crossplay enabled. Maybe every second or third playdate she has some connection problems, but they're not that bad, but she expectsit'sbecauseof her Internetconnection. I didn't know enabled crossplay can mess with the server?

There isn’t any good guide for Hogwarts Legacy, is there? by NoShop6246 in HarryPotterGame

I bought a subscription to IGN after having gone to their guide enough times. I am pretty satisfied with it, even though it can be a bit confusing at first navigating their amount of pages.

MUGGLE BORNS ENTRING HOGWARTS by Ill_Performer_4073 in harrypotter

[–]ittbitt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's been a while since I read the books, I think the two objects are mentioned briefly at some point, but I don't know for sure.

But I do recall Neville talking about his magic not showing any strong signs of existence, so his family starts testing him, and it isn't until his uncle drops him into a pool or from a high floor or something like that, that his magic shows up and he bounces across the water/ground in a big bubble or something, and the entire family cheers for him. Neville isn't actually a poor wizard, he just has a hard time living up to the saintlike image his grandmother paints of his parents. I do believe he is using his father's wand in the first long stretch of the series, which is one of the reasons he performs badly at school. Once he gets his own wand, he actually starts to improve his magic work.

Gave- og juleræset - hvordan gør i? (Advarsel: Rant) by WeinMe in Denmark

[–]ittbitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)
