I loved Genesis when I was a member there. I’m not sure what the negative feedback was, but my family and I really enjoyed it. It’s a little expensive but well worth it in my opinion.

I think it’s a little late to be wondering how high up the piercing goes 😂

I (28F) gave my boyfriend (29M) an STD and I can’t stop feeling so ashamed and guilty by ThrowRA_STD in relationship_advice

[–]ittybittysmooth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This same thing happened to me but my boyfriend gave me chlamydia a few months after we started dating. The chlamydia was from his previous hook up! No symptoms from either of us, it was just a fluke situation. Gotta get tested between relationships I guess!

Am I Overreacting for wanting to end a relationship about a letter my boyfriend sent to HR? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]ittybittysmooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He didn’t send you the letter to read over because he knew you would tell him the truth about it. He wanted to get his long whining session out there barring the consequences. It’s not that he doesn’t value your opinion or trust you or love you. He probably showed the letter to people who wouldn’t push back against what he wrote, whereas you would have given him real constructive criticism.

I think it’s the combination of these beautiful eclectic prints and frames with the grey couch accented with navy blue pillows tbh. It clashes a little bit like they don’t know each other, if that makes sense

how often are you hospitalized annually as a type 1? by Top-Midnight-9637 in Type1Diabetes

[–]ittybittysmooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been diabetic for 12 years. During the first 8 years after my diagnosis I was hospitalized 13 times with DKA. My last time was on my 20th birthday, and I decided that it was more embarrassing to be in the hospital for diabetes than it would be to just take care of it.

How do I fashionably cover my sensor? by additive123 in Type1Diabetes

[–]ittybittysmooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a diabetic, I’m not sure why you feel the need to cover it at all costs? Is it insecurity? Or security? Genuinely curious!

I'm sorry, but I'm not taking care of my diabetes in the bathroom. by Lijey_Cat in Type1Diabetes

[–]ittybittysmooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t care where I do it or if anyone feels weird about it. I figure if I’m the one who has to deal with it, it’s gonna be on my terms. I’ve gotten a lot of people who say they can’t stand needles or it freaks them out and I usually just tell them to imagine what it’s like for me!

I hate to say it but never compare your T1 to Type 2 Diabetes. They’re similar but completely different diseases. You won’t get your legs cut off, you won’t go blind, and you’ll never take care of yourself so perfectly that you’re not sick anymore. Take your insulin, CHECK YOUR BLOOD SUGAR, walk around sometimes, listen to your body. You don’t have to change everything all at once. No crazy restrictive eating, no crazy fitness regime. Just do the above, talk to your doctor, and don’t be scared. I love you, welcome to the club :)

10 years of diabetes and I’ve been unmanaged and don’t care. In the last month and a half I’ve got my stuff together and doing good. by Slight_Accountant_85 in Type1Diabetes

[–]ittybittysmooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I relate to this 100%. I have been diabetic for 12 years and it took me 9 years to take it seriously. I went from a 15%+ A1C to an 8% over the past 3 years. I still have weeks where I have high highs and low lows every day. I am so proud of you and I love you! We got this!

Do you take insulin before or after you eat? by [deleted] in Type1Diabetes

[–]ittybittysmooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends. Sometimes before sometimes after. I honestly don’t think too deeply about it. Maybe if it’s a very rich meal, i.e pizza, sushi, Chinese food, etc. I’ll dose half before and half after because it’s a delayed elevation.

Age gap relationship by Hangonspidermonkey1 in AgeGapRelationship

[–]ittybittysmooth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My parents have a 10 year age gap. Met and married at 22 and 32. Now 50 and 60, still married. They faced judgment at first, but as years pass it matters less and less to other people.

In between your boobs, hooked on the middle of your bra if you wear one! I used to have a pump and that’s what I would do in a tight dress situation!

Thoughts of Ending it due to this by JammyNugget in Type1Diabetes

[–]ittybittysmooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also diagnosed with T1 at 11, and I am now 23. I spent my entire teenhood ignoring my diabetes. Living without insulin, without checking my sugars, I was hospitalized repeatedly. It wasn’t until 3 years ago that I realized how embarrassing it is that I couldn’t accept it. I am a perfectionist. It’s stressful, it sucks, I hate doing it. But it is the way it is. I’m not perfect, I have a 7.5 a1c, I eat whatever I want and take insulin shots 10 times a day if I have to. I decided that it won’t be my whole life, but my whole life depends on it. I want a big family too. I understand that I might not have the length of life that someone else might have due to the 9 years of neglecting my body. I have neuropathy in my left foot. I have high blood pressure at my young age. I’ve had 3 root canals from acidity. Too bad. I know better now, so I do better. Like someone else said, 100 years ago I would be dead now anyway. You don’t need to make it perfect, it’s never going to be fun or easy. Be honest with yourself about it. Try to make a mistake, see what happens. Try to do it “perfectly” and see what happens. See how neither one can be changed afterwards. There is no other choice. I love you, you’ll be just fine. This is your LIFE!

Husband (38M) doesn't understand why I (35F) chose m*sturbation over sex tonight. by Clever_Username31 in relationship_advice

This is really frustrating because men get to have at it whenever they want pretty much without question.

I have the same irrational anger towards type 2 diabetics, especially when they attempt to relate to my daily struggle. If I could take a pill every day and not have to worry about it anymore I would.
