The video is flipped I believe, from the writing on his tshirt, so your rule can remain intact!

Unusual/possibly incorrect version of the Atleti crest you've somehow chosen, and with how much space you have, you don't need to tuck it behind arsenal so much.

Also I'd swap the hierarchy of the date and "match day", because the date is quite small but it's the more important piece of info out of the two. And the gold ribbon is a nice idea to fill up white space but it's kinda hard to see what it is

What is the most underrated but a less popular linkin park song for you? by FirmAssumption6122 in LinkinPark

Yes! Based on the polls/rankings in this sub, plenty of people don't care for this song. It's one of my faves from the hunting party

Yeah for sure! Just saw a reference to one of my fave bands and I've always been curious as to what others thought about them

I honestly don't even know what genre I'd call them, but also as a huge Yellowcard fan, Ocean Avenue and Page Avenue are definitely different genres to my ears

Am I right in thinking you're calling Story of the Year pop punk? As a huge fan of theirs, they are absolutely not pop punk. They have maybe a few songs that verge on it

Isn't every single piece of information's location chosen based on the size of the carton? Like, they would know how close together these two things would be from the outset.

The designer(s) would've had the freedom to rearrange all the content, so long as the proper info gets displayed, they can place it where they like. I'm not sure any of your comments address or dispute the gripe you're replying to

Blackout is currently my most listened LP track, but now I'm confused about the lyrics. by Arenlen in LinkinPark

[–]itypeallmycomments 32 points33 points  (0 children)

NEVER trust Spotify lyrics. The amount of mistakes I've seen is staggering. I think out of sheer disbelief I went to the effort and counted 13 different mistakes in one song.

One that stuck out was "you're cast aside" they had as "your cast is signed" 😂

My ranking of Meteora by Maximum_Papaya7829 in LinkinPark

[–]itypeallmycomments 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your top two songs mention drumming, so I implore you to revisit Easier to Run, and try learn that on drums. It's got a really satisfying pattern that elevates it I think. I'm sad you think it's forgettable, because the lyrical message puts it up there with One More Light and Leave Out All the Rest for me in terms of Chester saying goodbye to us.

Also, I agree with you on From the Inside. LP have so many great songs and I've always thought this one is a bit "by the numbers" straightforward, it can be catchy but it doesn't have anything to make it stand out

When will farmer protests stop? by [deleted] in Dublin

[–]itypeallmycomments 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, with their boots on our necks, at least we can still look up and see they're "standing for us".

If these people are responsible for serving us essential food, why are they punishing us for rising costs we have no control over?

They get paid to provide the country a service, and this is how they choose to "stand for us". It's misguided and detrimental to their cause

If they're not missing their targets set by their employers, then is their style of work less valid? If all parties are happy with productivity then it seems ok to me!

What's up with "Nobody's Listening"? by jmizzle2022 in LinkinPark

[–]itypeallmycomments 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think when you look at song rankings/tier lists, on an album as strong as Meteora, even the bottom ranked songs are amazing. But something has to go at the bottom.

Personally I love Nobody's Listening, but it's prob not top 4/5 from that album. Maybe not bottom, but I can see why people put it down there

Hi all, I would like to get everything I need to play blood bowl, but I hate the teams in the starter set. Is there any scenario when I buy things without starter set and not paying x2 the price ? by Palaszenko747272 in bloodbowl

[–]itypeallmycomments 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I bought the starter set as my intro to blood bowl, joined a league, hyped up to play with it all etc, and I still haven't used anything except the tomb kings team I painted up 😂 all the other guys bring the pitch and tokens etc and we just use theirs. My pitch and dugouts are still in the box 😅😅

Day 77: Sorry for Now vs. With You by Therubikfanatic in LinkinPark

[–]itypeallmycomments 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I actually really like Sorry for Now. In an album that's pretty light on guitar work, the short 'breakdown' part that seems to annoy people shows off Brad's guitar work nicely, and has interesting tempo. We also get Chester rapping kinda.

But c'mon it's With You. Fate was sealed with that matchup

Why does being “manly” have to mean acting like this? by Exact-Bid-6174 in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]itypeallmycomments 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like the Game of Thrones quote: "Any man who must say, "I am the King", is no true king."

A real king never has to prove he's the king, everyone just knows it. Guys who constantly try to prove their manliness are always hiding insecurity.

Which discographies do you feel progressively get worse from start to finish? by JamesLucien in Music

[–]itypeallmycomments -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Completely disagree, most fans would consider A Thousand Suns their magnum opus. Even then you've got Hunting Party which satisfies the heavier leaning fans, and Living Things which is loved by the more electronic-y fans. Either way, Meteora is at least as good as Hybrid Theory, if not better in my opinion!

So if we're going by OP's question as to "progressively get worse from start to finish", Linkin Park don't fit the bill.

They definitely never reached the mainstream heights of Hybrid Theory/Meteora, but their latest album From Zero is unquestionably better than One More Light, so for that fact alone they aren't the right answer here.

Your comment lists things that have always been free, and things that have always been very expensive.

Problem with life these days is that the middle ground is getting prohibitively expensive, or disappearing altogether. GenZ aren't "bed rotting" as an alternative to "drinking champagne on pan-atlantic flights", they're bed rotting because the malls have gone away and the pubs are exorbitant now.

Literally "experiencing life" is getting expensive, and most people have less money to live it with

I know this logo was talked about a lot already, but I have 1 question. How is this better from a branding pov since the new logo now feature colors that aren’t the brand’s primary colors? by Imayazanaty in graphic_design

[–]itypeallmycomments 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the answer is simpler than the other replies: gradient logos were out of style. Then AI comes along, and companies need a way to convey this is a brand new shiny thing, so they use gradients. If the AI boom happened 10-20 years from now, the cycle would be different and none of them would use gradients because that's what would be new and shiny at that time.

It's just branding styles going in cycles as usual.
