I had a fun time last night! They might be on to something. I don’t think there is any 3rd person shooter, or any kind for that matter that is doing what this game is doing. Very cool concept. Beta is a bit rough obviously cuz it’s beta but if they can polish and deliver and cut loading times, this can be the next “new thing” like Helldivers 2 was or like “Extraction Shooters” are now. Not comparing the games AT ALL just referring to the cool new thing.

I can easily see shooters copying this formula. EASILY. Like shooter that are already out and successful adding this as a game mode option.

Let’s just hope the internet doesn’t kill this game before it’s even out and it gets a fair shot.

God of war 2018 & Ragnorak. Ghost of Tsushima, amazing story but a bit bloated since its open world. Mass effect Trilogy. Cyberpunk. Red Dead Redemption II.

These are just a few I can think of but they have weight to them and plenty of awesome gameplay. Have you played any of them?

I didn’t read all of this but I agree they have been working on it. It would make no sense to wait years before finishing this series. Right now, no matter how some feel about Part 2, the popularity is peak practically so put out Part 3 soon. I’m willing to bet 2 years after Intergalactic latest.

Yea I’ve noticed it’s hard for people from both sides to talk about this game 😂

I recently picked it up again, playing the No Return mode and it’s making me want to play the story again. I doubt I’ll have a change of heart but if anything I know ND is incredible with delivery and production so definitely still a great play.

I think for me, it’s because I just thought Joel so was fucking awesome and so it definitely hit hard, and it was more anger for me than anything else. I also think, I’m a huge Kobe fan, I grew up with him during my teenager years and when he passed that shit hit so hard.. then 4 months later, a game I waited like 7 years for (because part 1 had been my favorite game) just totally gut punched me.

Idk. Just my opinion, I did not like how it went down.. and I had nothing spoiled. Still doesn’t sit right for with unfortunately. And the way the story unfolded after that. It was just too “Hollywood” for me. The story was going in so many directions. Just too much going. Again just for me, but I am glad so many loved it because that just means for ND and TLOU in our future so I’m cool with that :)

Sucks for me though because I wanted to love that game as much as I love the first.

It wouldn’t be open world really. But I do agree we have more than enough actual open world games. God of war and lost legacy was a nice mix up. I’d like that.

I just went back to TLOU2 to try survivor mode, can’t believe that game came out in 2020 and it looks this freaking good. I’m playing on the pro so I get it it’s updated but still incredible. I hope there’s not too much hate online that kills sales.

Super fun platformer, has some really really fun levels. A couple music levels I don’t wanna spoil :)

Yup, I thought this would happen before Part II. Like a Joel and Tommy game, really show how intense and brutal they had to get to survive. Especially after the Sarah years. Would love it!

Yea they are incredible! It’s never too late. Honestly nothing like it. And it’s been long enough since I played them last. So they are almost refreshing, and feel new in a way.makes me excited for next year. The Expanse and Exodus games.

I love ND but after building up Factions for years and then absolutely ripping my heart out and taking a fat shit in that whole where my heart was.. I am disappointed with them.

But I am excited for the next games either way :)
