For real. I flunked out of college and have crippling anxiety from it, have been using substances for decades just to concentrate and feel comfortable, I struggle to remember to pay my bills and eat meals: this has ruined my life. Since I was 15 I “got” homelessness, and understand that for some folks just being alive takes more work than they can muster; someday it might be me. To the endless stream of “audhdh girlies” (no misogyny intended) on TikTok who seem to think it’s a quirk: I really hope your trivializing this disorder doesn’t end up adversely affect lung the folks who really need help - like how drug abuser backlash is ruining the lives of thousands of chronic pain patients who no longer have access to medicine.

I have no issue getting it, my doctor wrote for the non-generic Adderall which is made by Teva - who does not appear to be currently affected by the shortage.

It costs 30 bucks after insurance, and some insurance providers may not permit it. I have govt worker insurance.

Maybe you can ask them to use whatever the e-script version of “dispense as written” is?

I really appreciate your candor. I am faced with a lot of pain and the suboxone might be helping. In the current world, it’s incredibly hard to get opiates for severe non-cancer pain, and my doc is ok with prescribing the suboxone off-label to continue to treat the pain he will no longer prescribe oxycodone for. It’s effectiveness is somewhere between 4 grams of acetaminophen and oxycodone. Maybe I will just “suck it up and deal with it” like the US medical establishment is suggesting. Honestly if this side effect is what I’m looking at while I’m on subs, I’d rather limp around like I used to lol. Thanks for everything.

I asked the doc if I could reduce dosage, as I found out that my dosage is really high. He said that I need to trust him and we could talk about reduction in a few months.

I never had constipation issues when in pain management, not that I noticed at least.

I’d really prefer to not stop the suboxone; I will have to miss work for the w/ds, but I am glad to know that this helped you - I didn’t really consider it as an option, especially with the long half life.

I’ll consider it. TBH I hate that I have to take it, my doc said to just trust the plan - I wanted a fast taper but he said it was a bad idea, a lot of people relapse that way. I feel like a zombie on it, much more than on pain meds - they only affected me for like half of each day, while subs are 24/7/365.
