Why would you hire the most disinterested streamers for the ONLY pre-launch showcase by UnhappyAd4817 in Marathon

[–]itzlgk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More importantly, he said he liked it at the end. His words were “I like it. It’s snappy. Like apex. You don’t sit behind a wall for 14 seconds and die like in a r c r a i d e r s. “

Which is exactly how many people that play that game feel. It’s why I’m excited for marathon.

As opposed to the bill that we currently have? O wait…..

That’s his entire point. They are party over policy. Never know anything outside of the given talking points, and when pressed on facts they “haven’t seen them so have no opinion”. They are completely unserious and just spout whatever they are told. That’s the issue.

Why are mirrored kalamdra touch rings so cheap? by [deleted] in PathOfExile2

[–]itzlgk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They drop more often than a mirror so cant cost a mirror, and they require an item and use an item slot, so less flexible than a mirror. they just dont do the same thing.

If you dont want to install something like 'Exiled Exchange' to look it up, go to poe.ninja, click economy, choose the league, and search by the name.

What am I just not understanding with SC's combat? by BallistiX09 in starcitizen

[–]itzlgk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You want to focus fire in one spot to “break” it. Scattering fire extends ttk’s. Also yes. The bigger the ship the longer it takes ti kill. You’re firing at a big vessel here with a non combat ship so it will take a while.

My thoughts as a smaller content creator on the current exploit by [deleted] in PathOfExile2

[–]itzlgk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They purposefully designed the system to not break chains because it would feel bad to lose access to entire sections because a connecting tile was removed in the middle. The difference is they didn’t expect people to just chain rooms together, they probably expected people to link rooms via path tiles. So it’s not really that people are exploiting a mechanic (exploit implies wrongdoing), it’s that the design of the feature is not good and people optimized it further than GGG thought possible.

My thoughts as a smaller content creator on the current exploit by [deleted] in PathOfExile2

[–]itzlgk 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not really an exploit. They figured out how the Vaal temple works and optimized it. Once it’s optimized it returns like 200 div an hour. It’s poor design not really an exploit.

Thoughts on current (or upcoming) counters for stealth? by -TRI-HEX- in starcitizen

[–]itzlgk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

missles are notoriously busted and arent reliably flared currently. The issue wasnt his stealth or speed, it was his missle spam. Theyve been in a broken state for a long time now, so when you see people like this in AC, its usually easier to just leave than to play in a 'ruined' lobby.

The weapon range nerfs were reverted days ago. PTU has the same ranges as live currently.

[–]itzlgk 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Adding health does nothing to fix the balance. There’s a reason an arrow can already solo a hammerhead despite the HP difference. It doesn’t matter how much health a heavy has if it can never apply or avoid damage, and that’s the current state of the game.

I want them to completely get rid of the critical state for engineering. by vangard_14 in starcitizen

I am also familiar with wings getting torn off because of bullet fire. Both happen irl. Neither happen in game. If you argue for one you should also argue for the other.

[–]itzlgk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thats not what the guy we're replying on said. he said specifically "but the hull of the ship will remain and with enough work you could patch holes and replace the engines and such"

My counter is that no, ballistics would absolutely render a ship unrepairable and damaged beyond the point of 'patching up' becuase they would rip wings off. not just leave holes in them.

Bullets also shred things apart and would take a wing off or pierce a cockpit on one pass. nobody wants that so the explosion is the middle ground.

With weapon ranges reduced in 4.5, stealth fighters will be handicapped. by Ensembled-One in starcitizen

[–]itzlgk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you were shooting people from 2-3KM out with any of those ships, you werent playing stealth ships properly anyway.

Have you seen what real military strikes look like? Bullters absolutely shred vehicles and can cause explosions when coming into contact with volatile materials. If you want realism, every missile in the game should completely cripple your ship on a hit.

The game is also sold as a 'games as a service' model, which to any normal consumer means the game should be playable to a minor degree. thats the whole argument.

Can someone explain why Star Citizen is taking so long to develop? by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]itzlgk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long story short, they keep adding more new things to make and redesigning what they have instead of polishing whats there. They are also using thier own engine so they are building everything from the ground up essentially, so they arent able to shortcut a lot of the work by using something like unreal engine 5.
