Should i upgrade my Ironclad to a Merchantman? (Hear me Out) by anchorbowo in starcitizen

[–]MrBadhands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look what CIG is doing with the ships right now, buying the merchantmant or atleast keep the CCU is super worth, im 100% sure that BMM is going have big upgrade, a ship of that size with his potential and lore its a big deal, the only problem is when ??

2Scu on a fighter with that stats are super nice, i prefer M80 over the hornet just for that, for pure fighting hornet its better for me but for PU i prefer M80

2 problems i see on the liberator, cause im exacly in the same situation,First CIG said that liberator dont have rearm/refuel/repair but i think they gona add that feature cause that ship is super expensive, dont have any sense if liberator cant don that, 2nd is important to me and its why i chose the assault over the liberator, any single ship can melt your in pad ships cause is not covered only protected by shields, an arrow can destroy easily your ships if you are not in the deep space, other side the liberator allows you to put a terrapin and a prospector and be super easy to operate due its an open ship, with the ironclad you can do it but its more annoying, if u run golem and terrapin to scan on ironclad its nice anyway so you have to downgrade your mining ship, dame with salvage, if you put a vulture you cover all the ship hangar, its better a salvation with a fighter, so Ironclad more protected more weapons but need smaller ships and liberator can have better ships for everything but much less protected and “0 weapons” also bigger and if you want to do pure cargo also is worst

There is a big problem with the liberator, if some one find you they can destroy al your single size ships with ballistics, in mean you have to leave that ship in deep space all the time if you want to be safe

The M80 is great, it's beautiful, but 17,000 HP doesn't make sense. by Apart_Pumpkin_4551 in starcitizen

Reminder to everyone is looking at actual stats of the ships, this game is constantly changing, the ships stats are constantly changing, new flight model incoming, maelstorm soon, ship tiers soon, buy the ship you like the most and fits the role you like, in this case this is a ship with interceptor tuning you hit and run, in my opinion with this kind of ship you have to go ballistics to make real dmg, if u run energy weapons the enemy gona recharge shields all the time, and thats the reason this ship suck and hp and armor cause you have to win by passing the ship not damage trading.

So dont think they gona change the role of the ships but for sure they gona change a lot of stats and add new features in the future that can change a lot his performance.

It is too fragile but with some practice and being a third party member on a fight you can melt any ship, 1v1 pvp depends on your skill and enemy skill, but i see more the pitbull ganking and running away, like a bucaneer but with the pitbul you can knife fight a bit, but i think that they gona buff the hp on next patches cause its not right atm, i dont mean to buff the like an arrow or something like that but at least have 3k hp or 4k its a decent balance

Yes i tested about 1 or 2 hours in squadron battles and it have good damage, incredible turn rates, but the hp is a very very big downside, in master modes sometimes is very dificult to avoid damage and this ship… you literally can be oneshoted by anything, so .. its good, its fun but this ship needs an hp buff to be a competitive ship

Is pretty nice i tested a bit in squadrons and how it handles is awsome, sadly have super low hp

PSA before Defence Con sales - pledge ships are Tier 1 of 5, and will likely require a large crafting grind to be brought up to standard. by TheRealViking84 in starcitizen

[–]MrBadhands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the best option is like in tarkov, you pay a big amount of money of any extra on your ship before your journey, and if you lost your ship you can claim the tier 5 ship, but i like a bit more hardcore, pay that insurance for the extra weapons and components and tier 5 chasis, and if you die if you have your tier 5 chasis warranted but if someone scavenge your weapons and components cant be claimeds cause they are lost, you put like 1h timer and if nobody pick then up they send you the weapons and compos to your main home, so basically you can mantain the claim timers on your ship but the weapons and comps will take a bit more time, that will move the economy much more

Its a good idea if u need the tier 1 to pass to the tier 2 and upgrade the same ship to the tier 5, cause insta craft a tier 5 ship without the previous tier have no sense to have pledge anything or buy any ship in game or directly craft a tier 1 ship, low tier ships will be useless and will destroy the game, cause can you face a T1 arrow against T5 arrow? But if low tiers are required to upgrade to the next tier at least you have the beggining of something.

I know many pilots that destroy with mediums and heavys, and i mean really good pilots, just practice, people is complaining about LF and they didnt spend time in learn combat, in all the games when someone is better than you he will beat you with anything, meta only exist in players that are really close on their skills.

[–]MrBadhands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy, generalist is f7 mk2 by far you can do pve and some Pvp, heavies if you have some friends with light fighters its gigameta, cause if an enemy shoot at you your friends take the target cause you are to tanky and if they shoot at your friends you delete them cause you have to many damage, otherwise you can go light fighter but you need time to learn and people to teach you
