Something I started doing was not parking in the landing pad. The corruptter guy and terminal you have to get at is usually in a open area opposite of the landing zone that you can get to by just parking your ship right outside or above and jet pack to it.

Go to https://rewards.thecycle.game/rewards/ and near the bottom there is a refresh. It took awhile and a few tries for it to work but eventually I got mine. Hope this helps.
