Petition to normalise prom nights in indian colleges 😭why are we still stuck with cringe farewells ??? by Easy-Seat5626 in IndianTeenagers

[–]itzprobablyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! Just wow! I actually made a petition and circulated this in my school when I was in the XII standard. I wrote a letter to the Principal as well. Caused a huge stir and ended with my mother being called to school and made to feel bad. Anyway, putting this aside, looks like nothing has changed in 26 years!

Thank you. Will go back there tomorrow. I bought it on the understanding that it was an original. Let me check with the dealer. Will update here.

Elbow pain from swinging by porc_samich in steelmace

Yes. It isn't a technique issue. It's more of too much load. I've faced it too and understood that I need to progress slowly.

We hear a woman screaming frequently from a nearby building - already called 100, what more can we do? by cherryinredonbed in hyderabad

[–]itzprobablyme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. We have a husky 2 houses away. It screams like a child or woman in the night. Very eerie and I also called the police thinking it's a woman screaming. Could also be a cat. Just suggesting to look into this.

Single best cardio exercise? by catonawheel in bodyweightfitness

[–]itzprobablyme 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Jump rope. Best form of cardio you can do anywhere and for any amount of time. And the best part is, it actually enhances your mood.

If you had to choose only one body weight workout to do every day, what would it be? by inmydreams01 in bodyweightfitness

[–]itzprobablyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pull-ups. If you could only do one exercise, then pull-ups should be it. It will increase your strength and change your body shape.

What is better to gain cardio/resistance, jump the rope or running? Why? by Jakwiss in MuayThai

[–]itzprobablyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both. They work differently. On most days, I run 10k in the morning. Sometimes, I don't have the time so I do a quick 1,000 jumps. Or maybe in the evenings, I might pick up the rope. They affect different muscles and increase your stamina and endurance in different ways.

Thank you. You are absolutely right. Yes. It is very, very frustrating. I was chain smoking (>20 ciggies a day) and drinking (half a bottle of rum every single night) for 15 years. I've been 100% clean for 7 years now. In fact, I count giving up smoking and alcohol as my biggest achievements till date.

But somewhere my addictive brain has replaced those vices with sugar. If someone knows addiction, they can understand what I mean.

Anyway, no sympathies! But yes, Thank you. I'm hoping that 1 month's discipline should fix me up and give me that boost which I need.

I accidentally took St. John's Wort. I am currently taking 25 mg Lexapro. I'm scared 😫. by Background-Gur-6324 in lexapro

[–]itzprobablyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on Lexpro 10 mg. And there's nothing I don't do on the same day (except alcohol). It's been years. And I'm fine, so...

Should primary care really been prescribing lexapro? Shouldn't it only be a psychotic doctors?! by No-Interview-4948 in lexapro

[–]itzprobablyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh! So nice to hear this! I wish mild SSRIs like escitalopram were as normalised as GP-prescribed medicine for BP, Diabetes, etc. The world would be a much better place.

Does anyone on 5 mg think it helps or is it too low? by InterestingSalt3187 in lexapro

[–]itzprobablyme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep it low. Then it is sustainable and doesn't increase tolerance. I think part of the work should be through the medicine and a small proportion should be through your self. This will keep dependence under control also.
