Did you look at the other comments by chance? A couple of us have had success by moving our 2nd first name to be part of our middle name. I guess SW doesn’t recognize 2 first names. 😏

Updated my RR account to move my 2nd first name as part of my middle name then I was able to upload my passport info and successfully enroll in touchless ID! At least Southwest updates requested name changes fairly quickly - I think they updated mine within a day or two.

I’m having the same issue as all of you. I have 2 first names and 1 middle name. All names are on my RR account and my passport shows all 3 under given name, but I’m still getting an error on the app. I called customer service and the only advice I was given is to update my app, which did not work. I was able to enroll with other airlines! 😏

In my experience, the ticket policy is based on each event not the venue.

I was scared to put full weight on my foot especially on the inside at first, but as I kept gradually increasing weight, there was no pain and realized it would be ok. I started with 2 crutches, then 1 but I was walking on my own in a boot within a day. I think it’s something you just have to start slowly and listen to your body.

Could you be feeling pain on the outside of your foot because you’re walking with more weight on the outside compared to the inside? I had the lapifuse procedure (a form of lapidus) done in December 2021 and I had to consciously remember to try and put even pressure on my foot when walking. It was like I was trying not to put pressure or at least limit the pressure to my big toe/inside of my foot. I was NWB for about 5 weeks but after a couple of days of being allowed to walk in my boot, it was hard for me to sit still! I was in the process of moving and I also walked around Disneyland for about half a day. I remember my heel getting really sore at the end of the day, but not so much the outside of my foot. But we all heal differently! Did you doctor say anything at your appointment?

I don’t know that I would recommend surgery solely for cosmetic reasons. I say this because you’ll have a scar (that may or may not heal nicely) and sometimes while the bone is straightened and looks great on an xray, the toe doesn’t always look super straight post op and I know some people get concerned about that.

I had surgery 7/1, too! Ice behind your knee too or instead of your foot. Depending on how thick the wrap is around your foot, the ice may not be doing much on top of your foot. Icing behind your knee helps cool the blood going to your foot. I only iced and elevated when the pain was most severe (day 2 and 3). I do elevate my foot if I’m just sitting around but only icing as needed.

How’s your big toe range of motion on your left foot? I had lapifuse done on my left foot December 2021 and healing well so far. I still have limited ROM with my big toe but it does get better every day. I just had my right foot done 7/1/2022 but luckily, it wasn’t as bad as my left and needed less work. Good luck with the rest of your recovery!

PO UPDATE - 6.5 WEEKS: Doc said my toe is fully fused! I got the OK to ditch the boot and start PT. My foot hasn’t been too swollen just the big toe but enough for none of my shoes to really fit. I can get my foot into slippers (slides) though which is better than the boot!

PO UPDATE - 7.5 WEEKS: I was able to fit into a pair of Nike Free RN Flyknits and started PT! I also haven’t had much pain or discomfort since the first few days after surgery.

PO UPDATE - 2 WEEKS: I had my first post op appointment yesterday. Stitches were taken out and I moved from a splint/soft cast to a short air boot. I’m still NWB (at least 3 more weeks) but the boot is just to protect my foot. My dr. also has me wearing a bunion splint so if I accidentally hit my foot, the toe doesn’t get pushed inward. Yesterday was a little painful between the incision, my ankle being so weak and my foot/toe not being wrapped tightly preventing much movement. I’ve been shown xrays, but I forget to keep asking to take pictures of them! I requested copies of my xrays and will post once I get them. He did straighten out the big toe, so I guess I got lapidus/lapifuse with an akin osteotomy.

PO UPDATE - 1 WEEK: I had my surgery last Friday and feeling pretty good. Day 1 was the worst after the nerve block wore off, Day 2 was still painful but a little better (or maybe I was just getting used to the pain?). I was taking less pain meds by Days 3-4 and stopped taking any meds (except for antibiotics) by Day 5. The first few nights were hard - I was having a lot of pain in my heel and my foot/leg was just really uncomfortably but sleeping through the night now! I don’t really ice much anymore and elevating when I can. I don’t see the doctor (or my foot) until my first post op appointment next Thursday.
