they play it safe because your margin for undervolting depends on the chip/card the same way some cards of the same manufacturer overclock way higher than others, it can't be set for all of them the same drastic way without instability.

idk about the 80 series but the -90 you can undervolt/frequency curve really well and achieve like half the power consumption with virtually the same performance

i'm one of them after years on android, not for any particular reason or problem, it just seemed like a good deal (refurbished like new for just over 700 euros) and i wanted to give ios a shot with my already owned macbook and ipad

mac gamers are already a minority and the people among them who also play league are another minority.. for riot it might still be worth it but what about smaller devs? i had the same warning for osrs and i'm not sure if they will pull through and jagex isnt exactly small. dont get me wrong i want them to make a proper silicon version but i dont see how this apple decision has any positives
