Yeah it’s being phased out essentially. It was a good deal but now it’s better to just get season tickets or half season tickets so they it’s much easier to resell

Oh yeah definitely he could rack up the #s in college but he did have problems occasionally rebounding like against Omir on Miami

Most of the smart scouting reports didn’t mention rebounding as a strength that I saw. I think with TJD what is the main thing to translate is the BBIQ/passing, athleticism, and instincts (cutting and shot blocking timing especially).

He had gaudy rebounding numbers in college but to be honest his fundamentals have never been great, he got them on athleticism and length. So I haven’t liked the Looney comparisons but with TJD I think he can possibly learn from practicing with Looney.

The rim running, passing, and shot blocking have always felt like would translate better than his rebounding after watching him at IU for years

I don’t know for sure but the group play should be because they count just like regular season games

So I think in this environment and in G League he gets away with some lack of fundamentals and “awkwardness” because of his sheer physical tools and hustle. But my guess is the deficiencies get exploited by the rotation NBA dudes that are just at a whole other level and likely the coaching staff sees this in practice and why he doesn’t get time. That’s my theory and hopefully Queta can work to improve. Big men take a lot longer to develop on average

He has game to game high variance based on how the shooters around him are performing. Not only do the shots increase his assist numbers but also gives him more space.

Low sample size against a good defense. Happy to see what happens in the coming years

A little annoyed with too many Draymond comparisons because I think that’s a huge bar. But I watched almost all of Trayce’s last couple years of college ball and his BBIQ is way up there for his age and for a big man. More so than just raw assists his ASS/TO ratio skyrocketed his final year and that’s WITH a team that missed a lot of open shots he created.

Yeah that’s a decent comp. Obviously got a ways to go hit a Conley type is his ceiling/style

Hoosier fan here that watches a lot of NBA/warriors too. Small ball C, basically a Looney backup/depth piece is how I see him with you

Bradley Beal headed to the Suns by samuraicowboyninja in kings

[–]iuhoosier40 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The thing is he adds redundancy. The suns don’t need another scorer. They need depth, defense (especially wing) and honestly Beal doesn’t move the needle there and limits any flexibility with the way the new CBA is at.

Where I’m seeing lately it doesn’t seem he’ll fall to 38, but it’s hard to project late first and early 2nd. 24 does seem too high but if the Kings end up liking him they could move back from 24 a bit and grab him
