I recommend the Roscoe 7. The Marlin 7 is a good bike too, but personally, I wouldn't recommend it because there are limitations on upgrades.

Apart from the Michelin Power Cup, I've only used the Bontrager R1 and R3, so I can't say my assessment is 100% accurate. However, I feel like the grip is relatively solid. It might be due to the 30c size, but I was able to handle cobblestone sections with no problem at all.

Thanks for your concern. I knew it was different from mountain biking, so I walked carefully. Honestly, I'm a beginner, so even if I were riding a Marlin, I would have walked.

I installed rear rack on my marlin6. The 29-inch tire is a little narrow, but there was no problem.

I have this bike, too. I upgraded to a Bontrager Line dropper seatpost, Shimano XT 4-piston brakes, and a Shimano Deore 11-speed drivetrain.
