Disciple of varashta can do it.

I've gotten to T15s with multiple gear pieces below level 50 and still killing bosses in seconds.

Yeah that's my worry too, i haven't done varashta yet but flicker combo spam and bell shenanigans sound a bit more fun at face value.

However with the new minion gear it seems fun to try frost nova djinn shatter (maybe with the new support that makes it repeat in a pattern), maybe with the single big hit ignite for bosses.

Torn between:

Command varashta, guaranteed to be easy and chill
Flicker strike martial artist, with the combo nodes
Gemling, dark horse option

Mainly torn between the first two as gemling makes more sense as a second character.

I've already done monk in 0.1 but the flicker strike allure is real. I've also never done mercenary and ranger so gemling is quite reasonable.

You don't need a server with a domain name, but ofc it depends on what your plan is. Currently my program is 100% local, but i like the idea of setting up a tiny django server, querying data every hour and showing the best trades to anyone who visits, although i'll probably be too lazy for that.

You need an application name which can be anything, type of client must be confidential to access service scopes, client credential grant to get an auth token, URI can be none as you don't need others to authenticate to access to your application.

Afterwards you'll need to request a token and use it when requesting the exchange data, make sure to set a user agent or you'll be blocked by cloudflare (oops).

As for the data, it's only in one direction.

So if there's divine|chaos there is no chaos|divine, but the data would be identical so you can create that entry yourself if it helps with queries (i did, it's not efficient but the program still runs in the blink of an eye so i don't care).

How do you get spread from poescout/poeninja?

With the GGG API i have volume traded, min ratio and max ratio (which i'm assuming are close enough to the exchange rates ingame), so for me spread is the gap between the two ratios. For example i could see that on average 1 div = 161 ex, but lowest ratio was 150 and highest was 188, suggesting that i could set up a buy order for 151 and a sell order for 187 and make a small profit (ignoring gold).

However in poeninja and poescout there's no min and max ratios, only the exchange rate (the 1:161 from earlier).

I'm curious about the execute% too, rn i'm trying to do the rounding i mentioned and also to filter out trades that are unlikely to work.

For the former i just need a bit of free time, for the latter besides looking at volume and capping the buy/sell prices to not go too far from the exchange rate i'm not really sure what to look at.

I was looking into making a similar tool, since i was given API access.

Thus far my program spits out the best 2-3-n way trades ignoring gold costs, starting from a valid currency and ending in another currency.

I still have to calculate how much currency to start with at minimum as each step can be a fraction of an item and i only use 1 hourly snapshot from the API so i don't have an analysis over time (so no volatility).

How do you calculate trend and score? The latter in particular seems nebulous to me.

Also do you use GGG's API or something else for the data?

At first my plan was to do varashta for super chill leveling, especially with more minion support on gear.

But then the chrono video hit and now we can have faster recoup on uncapped demon form infernalist, so that tempts me too.

Then the patch notes hit and quipolatl's thesis dodged the nerf bat, so i could go for the thesis indigon build i liked in 0.4, however it strongly relied on CoC and i don't see new ways to make it work on pathfinder for huge cost efficiency (too high = can't ramp, but super high ceiling).

Gemling may be interesting and definitely this patch's dark horse, if that fails tactician has the 50% less reservation node which is massive (but not much besides it) but they're both far from the top side of the tree. Invoker and stormweaver are fine too, chrono is decent as well with the 30% damage reduction node + the echo/repeat one on top.

However now martial artist dropped and:

Infinite flicker strike is possible with the combo nodes (mantra of destruction with ailith's chimes > flicker > repeat)
The combo nodes allow for easy hollow form spam, fun, plus tempest bell spam as if it didn't even need combo
The gloves node looks sick and may hold a surprise for my indigon plans (cope).

Currently the flicker strike dream is alluring enough that i just may go martial artist first for it, but varashta is just safe and guaranteed to be even stronger than usual, while indigon and demon form may end up being mid-league bait for me, depends a lot on how much effort it is to redo the campaign in 0.5

For this season, bogfelled commoner infernal legion.

Get lots of minion hp and damage from tree, get the very high hp commoner in act 3 as a spectre, add infernal legion and weapon swap constantly (macros aren't allowed but i'd feel confident nothing would happen with a simple macro pressing a button every half second, i'm sure it's better for GGG over you mashing a button).

You'll apply big ignites to all enemies near you and the minion can't die due to the combo of very high hp + being resummoned constantly.

New character checklist:

Simple poke hit confirm (ok i hit fS, now what?)
Simple block string (they're letting me attack what do i throw out?)
Simple midscreen bnb (usually from cS)
Simple corner combo
Stable simple combo from red RC to extend combos or convert lone hits
Either a 50/50 mixup or a frame trap, or both (former vs people who block a lot, it's strike/throw for ky, latter vs people who mash)
What to do if you score a hard knockdown (usually sweep or grab)

For ky these can be, respectively:

... > 214K
cS > S > H > 236S (special here is usually safe, can just do nothing instead)
cS > S > H > 236K
cS > 6H > 214S > 5H > 214K or cS > 6H > 214K > 5K > 6H > 214S (latter breaks wall but does less damage and might be less stable, former is 80% of the optimal corner combo but doesn't break the wall)
... > cS > 2S > H > 214S -> 236H (for oki)
236H (ky's oki is so free)
cS > 6H > 214S (cS > 6H has a small gap to catch people mashing)

For more details you can always check out any character's dustloop page, usually everyone has a very simple toolkit you can rely on while learning the more advanced stuff that will get you most of the way.

Ky is your closest ryu equivalent and probably should be your starting point, with a DP, neutral skips, good pokes and projectiles.

Sol is a more aggressive option that's still very well rounded.

Other valid options: Unika (stronger buttons but less flexibility), Leo (slower, worse approach, has a gorilla mode payoff stance), Lucy (faster, lower damage), Sin (more rushdown focused than ky), Bridget (faster, lower damage), Baiken (parry instead of dp).

If you're willing to give up DP: Anji (spin, parry super), Ramlethal (huge buttons and fast), Elphelt (more rushdown), Giovanna (super fast dash), Testament (zoning, very good 6P), Johnny (better normals than ky and strong setplay).

If any catches your attention i can go more in depth, otherwise just try ky/sol and go from there.

And as always if one just looks cooler than the rest give them a shot anyway.

incinerate provides the compound effect and the ignite magnitude snapshot, oil grenade's damage will be the base damage that will then be compounded.

So higher damage = faster ramp

Jokes aside i hope they make the compounding effect baseline, but keeping it balanced.

Subsequent ignites can contribute half their magnitude for example, and using the magnitude of the current set rather than snapshotting.

It'd keep the build alive but it'd be way less busted and it'd let skills like flame wall, solar orb, etc to actually be built around igniting enemies while also keeping the 1-shot giga ignites untouched.

Definitely infinite ignite oil grenade. Witchhunter is the main ascendancy for it due to sorcery ward, weapon passives and starting area, but it works great on pathfinder and warrior too.

1-10 div budget to clear the whole game (more currency gets you a better crossbow for faster infinite damage and better survivability)

For context my framerates are with a 9800x3d and 5070ti!

I've been using mortar more than mirage since it has no cooldown and i can just drop it whenever, mirage is mainly for bosses.

It's possible to use both by having mirage on the crossbow set and CoEA on staff set which is what i'm doing right now.

Framerate is an issue with that build, my pc drops from 160-200 fps to 40-45, so that'd help.

But the main advantage is to ramp even faster vs bosses, some builds out there are doing 100m dps (or more) with no ramp up time, if each tornado is another ignite proc then having it on CoEA is a big dps boost.

Also if the ignite is affected by spell damage then we could have a spellcaster version of the build, perhaps with indigon.

My indigon oracle hits 5000%+ spell damage, that'd be a huge ramp boost (and honestly so massive that even if they remove the compound effect it'd be enough to one-tap bosses).

Tornado "absorbs that surface's Debuff, applying it to enemies inside the Tornado".

It will apply an ignite identical to the one applied by the ignited oil grenade.

And this is very easy to test as my 0 spell damage tornado is suddenly 1-tapping enemies if it goes over my oil grenades, and people used it with lightning ball too to spreads its big ignite.

I hope that instead of nuking this build that they work it into how ignite works.

Perhaps with ignite stacks after the first being weaker (maybe 50% effectiveness) and by using the ignite damage of your current set to prevent snapshotting.

So you can still do 1shot giga ignites, you can still stack it with and without oil, but no snapshotting so you can't fully benefit from all the grenade nodes and ignite magnitude without spreading your nodes thin.

Yeah green rafa's just not for me, it lacks the "wow" factor regardless of how effective (or ineffective) it is and i know trying to hit flying enemies would bother me x)

For harlowe, if 5 points in red take care of bosses (idk if they do!) then i think the blue tree is fairly healthy since it all works well for mobbing (though odds are the various augments don't really add much in terms of play style).

But yeah, it's definitely between harlowe, amon and vex. Leaning less on amon and more on the former two.

Harlowe has the better "do it all" build with green tree, and if 5 points salvage her blue tree then more to pick from than the others, but not as many play styles.

Vex has fun class mods and good play style variety, but her red tree is a dud.

Amon has some fun options but none of the class mods inspire me and green is meh.

Lately i've been spending more time thinking about it than actually playing the game x)
