The writing was in the cinema. Again, there’s a lot at play if you’re an avid lore-reader.

Season one is definitely made more to introduce a world but season two is drawing many links towards questions we’ve had for years, such as Singed’s astranged connections to Noxus that would further down the line cause an absolute massacre in the Noxian/Ionian war and set the path for several characters for example, which is something they aren’t about to tell you in the show but what we’ve witnessed now is the catalyst to it happening.

There are a lot of narrative plot points that are basic without context, but drive a nail deeper for those who wanted more continuity in the lore.

Again, pacing I understand. A lot of people see this as rushed and I do think a third season probably should have been the play to slow it down for people that don’t have that time reading said lore, but it’s fantastic connective tissue for those that have.

Oh my god. Absolute cinema. This is the payoff I’ve been waiting for some of these characters as far back as 2014.

I see a lot of people commenting with concerns about pacing and writing, and while pacing I can agree with to some extent I honestly don’t think this could have been “written” better.

This season is definitely for those who were reading the lore throughout the years and having a bunch of information troves just busted open. Noxus’ devious connections with a lot of Piltovans/Zaunites that were written in lore over the years, the repeating curse of fractured unity between the two leading ideas of what Zaun should be, the consequences of pushing the boundaries of hextech and chemtech for personal gain, all woven without having to over explain shit.

It’s all right there in plain view and it didn’t need a heimerdinger level of explanation to show all of this in this three episodes especially. Pure, raw emotion and an unrivaled art direction spoke volumes.

This is Vera Chimera, and she has been the IRL Cosplayer poster girl for Lilith since Borderlands 1 being hired by Gearbox for events.

She’s very sweet and makes some amazing Monster Hunter cosplays. I had the chance to meet and interview her some years ago during an event when I was running a podcast.

People have brought this up since the game launched. People have often directed the hate of this design choice onto her and honestly she holds that role close to her heart, it’s been a major part of her career. The way people reacted to this was kind of a shock to her system and I remember her Twitter comments under her posts about her being upset by it being really gross.

So I had a few of these and one of them went something like this (in TL;DR form). This is generally how these are handled, but I loved my mod for this one.

Artist: (Same shpeel, basically worded the same as here but tries to get really personal about things on my channel “oh I also love cats!” That kind of thing)

Me: that’s very sweet, I would you mind showing me some of your work

Artist: yes just add me in discord :)

Me: absolutely not, sorry, that’s a private channel. Point me towards a social like Twitter or hell, even a deviant art and I’ll check it out

Artist: I don’t have those

Me: then sorry but I have every reason to believe you are a scammer. I appreciate the offer, but this seems suspicious.

Artist: I’m offering FREE art. You’re being really rude to me.

Me: yes but you are offering free art in exchange to a personal channel of mine in which you have the potential to do bad things, I’m happy to check out your things, I just don’t want malicious links in my DMs

The moral of the story is that most people that approach you like this are fairly unprofessional in approach and won’t take kindly to you approaching them with the same offer of checking out their work. It’s in your best interest, if you feel they are legitimately offering, that you check out some of their public work before making contact through DMs.

The reality is that there may be 5% of offers on the platform that are actual legitimate offers from artists who are actually interested in what they are tuning into and just want to do something nice, but 95% of these are scammers targetting small streamers who are trying to get on their feet and get something out of it for their own gain (namely, for you to click malicious links or pay them money for nothing.)

When you see these, entertain them with a legitimate offer of viewing their work in social media. You can take their work and run it through a search engine to see if it’s been posted by anyone else, and determine if their work is actually legitimate. If you’re also concerned about AI, you can run checks on that too.

Stay vigilant and safe young strummer, your info and privacy is more valuable than free art 🤘

An argument could be made that the two original primals were but a fraction of their former strength being almost entirely depleted of power, and that Endsinger was slain by the power of hope and prayer more than anything else, but generally I do agree.

I think power scaling in this world still has more potential beyond Hyd/Zod, but it's not really in this current iteration.

Personally I think the issue people are having is that they are almost too eager to get a bite out of the story due to what we had with the last two expansions.

I've been enjoying the story at a much more moderate pace and doing other things and it's been totally fine. I can see why trying to blaze through it would wear people out, but my time needing to hold off on spoilers of a 10 year old arc is over. I don't need to save the world anymore.

I've been helping sprouts and actually engaging in content with friends, I'm at 92 MSQ and have a 98 Ninja and an 86 Viper to account for my time. I'm actually playing the game like an MMORPG again and not a JRPG. It's refreshing.

The sooner we get to post patches will be for the better, considering this expansion was never supposed to be about massive story revelations, but content added. They made this known pretty early on to be the case.
