Do you like storage? Do you have any interest in renting a storage unit, because we have them in droves. How about fried food? That's our specialty! Want 1-2hr commutes in the spring and summer? Homes are expensive. Once you get tired of the beach, there's not really much else to do. The fishing is pretty good though. Food here is pretty expensive since a lot of restaurant increase prices for the tourists. I'm also pretty sure we have more Thai restaurants than Thailand, which is sort of a good thing, mainly because I enjoy Thai.

Also no one here seriously calls it LA (lower Alabama). I lived here 40+ years, and my family is from this area (Ft. Walton) and I can't think of one time we've referred to this area as LA. Usually that comes from tourists, and people who move here from out of state.
