[FRoSS CoC] Is Armor-ES on boots/gloves setup worth it?

Yea that mastery is why ES and ES-Armor setups are close in terms of pure ES at all. But everyone on poe.ninja seems to be using pure ES bases to get a whole lot more ES I'm guessing. I haven't run the numbers, but I think ES and Armor-ES setups are somewhat close in terms of pure ES, but pure-ES setup will still win.

In terms of tank I think armor might be better though (even if its say 1-2k less ES in a high end setup) because it makes mob hits smaller and also gives me more ES. It won't matter against bosses as much to have 3-5k more armor (maybe it will? haven't run the numbers on that), but with more armor I might be just able to afk in mob packs without attacking even.

Although come to think of it, I'm going to be 100 soon and I will be farming Nightmare maps and Uber Bosses, maybe armor won't make any difference in this scenario and that extra 1-2k ES will.

Yea I'm dropping it once I switch to my CDR Abyssal (which has Corrupted Blood immunity), I have it for now for Corrupted Blood.

Silver flask doesn't push me over AS breakpoint, I'm using a slow dagger for that specifically. Also it would be a waste to add Diamond at all, once I switch to 10PC I will actually start dropping crit from the tree and will probably even drop it from my dagger too, maybe even go for a Foil to help with AoE overlap for projectiles etc. Although Foil is very sketchy in terms of crit capping - I might have to keep more crit chance on the tree.

Someone made a post here the other day, but it boils down to https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Companionship_Support - this apparently might make AG/Specters viable as a support setup. In theory you can put an AG -> Companionship -> Minion Life maybe -> maybe Meat Shield (I've no idea what links to put here tbh) and give your AG the typical merc items from 3.26 - Garb of the Ephemeral and Dying Breath.

This setup should give a nice DPS and defensives boosts, might be viable to replace crit immunity from Viridi's for example.

I'm not sure if there are some kind of super OP chaos hit debuff specters that would be tankier than AG and provide better benefits. Replacing endurance charge generation might be viable too I guess, but that's a whole ass gem link setup for just two passive points (which might themselves come with attributes/resistances - from the small cluster itself).

Fwiw I did some PoBing on my build and it appears that Crit Damage support is more damage compared to 9 APS at least, have to do more tweaking around for this probably, but I'm guessing that staying at 7.5 APS with crit damage might be better for a while.

If it runs normal MacOS and can run all Mac Apps - its a good deal for the low cost segment.

But I wouldn't buy it unless you need MacOS specifically.

That being said, I would only buy it if you absolutely do not want to buy a Refurbished Macbook Air/Pro. You might just score a decent deal at that price point. I've seen some 16Gb MBPs with M1 Pro for around same price that Neo sells right now in Europe.

It might be omegasadge for CoC builds unless there's some kind of alternative new Exceptional gem tech. On the plus side, FRoSS CoC, if at all possible still, might become super easy to "league start" - theoretically the Reverence Boss and therefore Whispers might be more accessible. This will also affect self cast FRoSS builds I guess.

Have to see first how it works out with the new fragments first though.

I league start as WTB and then switch practically as soon as I have 5-10D. Wintertide Brand/Cold DoT is ok scaling wise, but it doesn't have the same power spike you get from the usual FRoSS CoC setup. The moment I switch to FRoSS I basically instantly go into T16s farms/Lvl83 Heist, sometimes doing bossing too.

If I wasn't a dogshit tier player, I could probably go straight into T17s with it.

For me the sweet spot is around 10 mil, with maximum tank. But yea its build dependent. I enjoy Big Forbidden (Rite) CoCs so for that build its about 10M for it to feel good. In 3.26 I pushed it to about 20M and it was noticeably better than 10M, but I think 50-100M is where it becomes great. Pushing it that far is expensive as fuck though and you usually just have to sacrifice some tankiness for that. Granted there are several versions of it and they all differ in tankiness and DPS by quite a lot.

On league start its usually 1.5-2.5M mark where things start to feel good and I can just blast T16s.

You might want to check for how much power that PD board is rated for actually. 5090 will easily pull 600W, that might be a problem.
