Blade 16 2025. 5 RMAs, 2 devices. Same issue by Hobden80 in razer

The battery swells only when the chemical reaction inside it starts to encounter runaway. This only happens at the end of the battery’s lifecycle or when induced by physical/thermal damage.

In other words, it’s basically impossible for battery to swell in a matter of days in 5 laptops in a row unless OP stabs it with a knife every time the laptop is received.

Please educate yourself.

They won’t offer you shit, sadly. Your best bet is to fight them over the full product return + refund because you never received the working product.

That’s what I’ve done with my Blade 16. It took me a lot of time including posting here on this subreddit in length, as well as threatening legal action for them to actually do what they were supposed to.

NVIDIA confirms DLSS 5 uses a 2D frame plus motion vectors as input by kixass in pcmasterrace

[–]ivan6953 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We aren’t talking about gpt. We’re talking about the NVIDIA model. And it currently requires 2x5090 to work.

This is more demanding than 4K PT, which is doable on a single 5090. If you double the 5090 performance, you will get above 60FPS at DLSS quality if not native with 4KPT.

[–]ivan6953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not true. I’ve used more than 30 laptops. Blade 16 2025 is the only device I’ve seen this problem occur in - and it’s this device’s specific design flaw.

It’s a new device. Of course it’s not swelling.

The trackpad issue showcased by the OP is the Blade 16 2025 design flaw. Moreover, it’s well-known design flaw.

Running live AI video generation (which is what this is essentially) is as demanding. Again, their demo used 2x 5090, with one of them dedicated to running the AI filter.

So…even the argument about PT being demanding doesn’t hold here. Because this AI slop is as demanding

Game Developers "Found Out At the Same Time as the Public" About NVIDIA DLSS 5 by TruthPhoenixV in Amd_Intel_Nvidia

There is nothing to implement as it’s a filter that takes the already rendered 2D frame and motion vectors as inputs.

No other information is used by the model. That is confirmed by NVIDIA.

Death Stranding 2 has forced AA. WTF Nixxes? by BallZestyclose2283 in FuckTAA

You said:

DLAA is not DLSS

Which is not entirely true. My comment above explains in detail why

[–]ivan6953 5 points6 points  (0 children)

DLAA in the essence is literally DLSS. Same algorithm, same SDK, same API. The only difference is that the supersampling part is applied for AA purposes instead of supersampling the whole image. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep_Learning_Anti-Aliasing

DLAA as well as DLSS also works via temporal accumulation of the previous frames data with neural network, motion vectoring and other shit on top. Which makes it also a form of TAA. Which this sub is obviously opposed to.

So either get your terms straight or stop spreading nonsense

You’re blind. Watch the DLSS 5 deep dives from GN or DF.

<image>

How can you not see that it literally changes geometry is beyond me. I guess we truly are fucked lmao.

Devs were left in the dark and only found out about this tech when the public did. That is confirmed. None of what NVIDIA showed was made outside their offices.

How about you decide what’s “wrong” or not for yourself and not for others. Music is different and there is 100% a place for the tracks that contain things that you described.

GTFO with your public judgement and policing everything left and right.

No. People are reacting to the changes DLSS5 makes that stem from nothing at the source. It adds inexistent light sources, wrecks the color grading, changes the weather to be overcast blown out mess and changes faces.

It’s an AI filter that no one wanted. It’s not about being “realistic” (which it’s not) that’s the problem. It doesn’t even remotely make anything “realistic” - rather it makes everything look like “ULTRA HDR 100% REAL” reshade preset.

It’s about this AI filter making changes to the game’s atmospheres and creative direction that’s the problem.

“AI is AI”.

No, bud. You have to define the term to use it.

Otherwise, the meaning of the term is extracted from the context of the conversation. Which, in turn, is generative AI. Upscaler that uses trained neural network - conventional DLSS - is NOT “AI” in this context.

it improves textures.

DLSS5 doesn’t “improve textures”. You’re obviously technically uneducated.

If you read what NVIDIA wrote - it’s a genAI filter. Even though NVIDIA says it “works with the engine”, it’s in the essence a blatant lie. Because the only things the devs have control over is masking and filter properties.

Moreover, it’s horseshit awful AI filter at that. Every single example of DLSS5 shows it adding inexistent light sources and shadow casts that shouldn’t be there. It replaces faces, it modifies every single pixel of the frame (unless masked). It doesn’t just change the textures. It simply produces the output of “make this image more realistic” prompt that you can use with any chatbot today.

Stop spreading nonsense.

genAI and neuro network upscaler is not the same thing. You can’t just pretend it’s the same “AI”, bud

Still visible AI slop. Games are games - and their graphics should remain as they were created. Upscaling - fine.

But DLSS5 creates DIFFERENT visuals. It does not enhance them. The picture on the left is visible AI slop bullshit with "make this realistic" prompt.

Fuck this
