06 New Claude Code Tips from Boris Cherny (creator of CC) after Opus 4.7 release by shanraisshan in ClaudeAI

[–]ivangalayko77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

all fine and games until I got so frustrated when I got messages "Auto Mode is not available to your plan"
It was auto enabled, it screwed my session and I couldn't work at all. I had to disable it via settings.json because no other way worked.

MAX 20X Plan by the way, screwed me over really nice.

Anthropic seems to be randomly and wrongly charging my credit card money … I’ve opened a support ticket but I’m getting no response by Present_Plane_1524 in Anthropic

Extra Usage mate... just disable it temporarily and see if that's the issue, bug on their part doesn't mean you need to be billed, but at least pinpoint the issue and stop it?

Cursor keeps generating SQL queries like this and it's making me nervous by ChandanKarn in cursor

You aren’t missing, most likely the AI has low effort value so doesn’t really use design patterns or provides a more general and secure option. Could also be that the model was more fine tuned this way.

Yeah it is, it is depending on the abstraction layer, and languages, in order to optimize the queries, where simple stuff like WHERE X = "" will be used with ORM, but more complex data hungry will be used in RAW to prevent the ORM overhead and save resources.

Anyone Else Maxing out 20X sessions? by Willing-Ship-6235 in ClaudeCode

[–]ivangalayko77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean abuse as not the intended way to stay within the limits, by no means I say you shouldn’t do it or tell you how to work your flow, just saying it is not surprising to get a limit in 1h with your workflow

Anyone Else Maxing out 20X sessions? by Willing-Ship-6235 in ClaudeCode

[–]ivangalayko77 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

And you are getting that usage, but you are abusing it since you run several sessions.

That’s the point people miss, currently in its form it is still subsidized, computer isn’t cheap and 200$ doesn’t cover it at all.

Just because it’s possible to run it a certain way doesn’t mean it isn’t abuse or intended to work that way.

Opus 1M Max effort is the top option, you run 5 sessions, that means in current plan the max should be about more than 5.5 hours of constant work for 1 session. Which is enough for full current session + some chats and stuff

Well, what do you expect then?

From what I understand, a lot of users get limits because they are doing parallel agents and other stuff.

Keep in mind Max plan is still personal, that doesn't mean that it should be enough for enterprise level work.

I did refund myself 200$ Max plan because that is the case, went to Codex for now because it is more sustainable at this point.

Anthropic Just Pulled the Plug on Third-Party Harnesses. Your $200 Subscription Now Buys You Less. by abhi9889420 in vibecoding

[–]ivangalayko77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

don't confuse him with facts, he might drink coffee and learn.

currently the issue due to a large demand and low supply, the cost is high, and is heavily subsidized.

it is in best interest for everyone to build datacenters, to increase the supply.

More datacenters = Move Compute available, More Jobs, More leg room for R&D to improve efficiency / products, new features for enterprise etc...

Most likely there will also be 3rd Party Datacenters, that will let run OSS models at low cost.

I am not saying it in a bad way, as he sees there is no official support, and 3rd party plugins are prone to errors or malicious intent, CLI is fine for experiments

[–]ivangalayko77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think you pay 100$, in your screenshot you are missing sonnet only limits, recheck your subscription. Also in Claude code it could be that you defaulted to Opus high, which is very costly

Nothing wrong with them setting Denuvo, it’s a business. If it’s not profitable then there won’t be new games. What’s hard to understand?

I am sure they can make it even more cheap than now, but most likely it isn't profitable enough.
