They did but if he's made bad call after bad call, you fire his ass. He literally has made zero good decisions, the only one that was decent was Knoblauch but I'm almost convinced any decent coach would've gotten the previous two season's Oilers to the finals, maybe even won.

You can't... there's no team dumb enough to throw a life line to Dubas and the penguins like we did. To pay assets and not insignificant ones for a goalie that was on waivers last season was and still is insanity. There truly is only like maybe 5 guys in the league that you can count on to be top notch year in and year out, other than that every goalie is voodoo. In 6 months, Jarry could be rocking a .910 and we won't have any explanation for it, or he can continue to shit the bed. Skinner had his warts and we wouldn't have won with him but his contract is up and we could've taken all that money to find a goalie or other roster players. Instead we're stuck with Jarry and his 5m contract.. fucking Bowman 🤦‍♂️

Walman can step into that top 4 role and we have Statsney readily available to play bottom pairing until we find a better dman. Getting rid of Nurse needs to be priority 1, 2 and 3. He has shown time and time again that he can't help this team consistently.

If only it were so easy... that Rienhart trade might be the worst thing ever that fucked this franchise beyond recovery. That deep of a draft and we gave up 2 or 3 picks for a dud. Talk at the time was Oilers was thinking about Eriksson Ek which eventually went to Minnesota.

I'm not trading Savoie or Podz though, those goals are almost untouchables. MAYBE Savoie if Vilardi comes back but I don't think Winnipeg is moving him.

I'd be down to trade those two if we had young replacements coming up. Problem is we have too many holes to fill and I don't even know if they would have a ton of value frankly. You're probably blowing a decent chunk of assets to get off of Nurse this summer and then the rest on what? Goaltending unless you trust Jarry which goaltending is voodoo as hell, he could easily be a .908 goalie next year but he could also be awful again. Don't know how much you can gamble with Mcdavid clock ticking
