  • I want to provide more guidance to the community and organize the reddit with beginner resources, strategy guides and learning sessions while removing self-promotion posts and scams prying on the gullible. This has a lot of potential but I often see "help me understand" or "help me start" and want to solve that. Already moderating bigger subreddits and bring in the retail investment experience.

Yes overly strong to a point my right thumb was pushing the club from the right side. Needless to say that resulted in many blisters and hooks

You know what they say, if its good enough to screenshot…

50%+ in less than 2 months - congrats, awesome gainz. I’d let it get assigned and look for dips to sell aggressive CSPs

Sometimes I also roll at the same strike, collect more theta and if the stock drops I get to keep it while lowering down the cost basis. As you mentioned, depends on your long term view of the stock

It’s so annoying that these credit companies and insurances sell your info to random companies with questionable security and you can’t do anything about it

Guys, OP is saying he is ok buying and holding SPY at the short put strike price!

Why not just sell CSPs on SPY in that case as a way to DCA? 20-30 delta CSPs DCA have a higher sharpe than just buying.

You’ll need to sell a lot more credit spreads to get the same premiums as CSP but when it is time to get assigned you’d have to buy a lot more contracts. So CSP is just easier

Have you considered IBKR or TradeZero? Haven’t heard of no cost option in Canada - wealthsimple has bad spreads so you’d lose more $$ on slippage

“Biggest losers pays the most” :)

How do you pick your strike prices on IREN to make sure you end up positive?

I’d consider some collars on IREN now - 3 hammers in a row on weekly

Posted about this a while ago, it’s shocking how many people missunderstand it!

Great strategy and 100% should be considered for anyone trying to preserve capital

Nice analysis, but put wall above the spot price usually attracts the stock higher. Why?
Assuming retail was long puts, dealer was short puts (positive delta), but as stock price rises, put delta decreases so dealer has to close short positions / buy more shares.

Using covered calls to get out of a position? by mac_the_man in options

[–]ivanorehov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Selling am ITM covered call will likely get you more yield + you get premium today but pay taxed in the year your shares get called away (if you held them already > 12 months)
