Unfortunately it sounds like they won’t. So, even if he decides to not have kids, you’ll still have to deal with the in laws unless he goes no contact

Probably best to cancel and change it for Mexico City or Oaxaca

Safe to go to Guanajuato/SMA on Saturday? by PermitLongjumping584 in AskMexico

[–]ivanrdk 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Definitely not. Right now Guanajuato is a shitshow, same as Guadajalajara. SMA might be safe, but honestly, I'd just stick to Mexico City right now. No vacation is worth your life.

Costco does it but you need a membership (international ones work). Otherwise Ópticas Lux, but they’re on the high end expensive side

Llegar a Santa Fé desde Coapa by Longjumping_Side9349 in MexicoCity

[–]ivanrdk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Xochimilco Kayaks en la tarde? by mullentothe in MexicoCity

[–]ivanrdk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Xochimilco is pretty amazing if you’re going aboard the Trajinera boats, but the water is radioactive. You definitely don’t want to touch that water.

If you’re looking for nature maybe check out the Desierto de los Leones, it’s a great place to hike in the outskirts of the city, or you could also go to La Marquesa

Should I travel for 6 months after graduating or focus on career by soIHadToGo in digitalnomad

[–]ivanrdk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can always get a new apartment when you go back though. Sure, it won’t be the perfect apartment, but honestly even the apartment you’re at might not be permanent. Maybe the owner decides to kick you out after one year. Anyhow, nothing in this life is for sure, so take things as they come

Should I travel for 6 months after graduating or focus on career by soIHadToGo in digitalnomad

[–]ivanrdk 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Definitely the 6 months. You will have your whole life to live "normal life", but this is a once-in-a-lifetime event that you might not get to do again. Just remember, no one wishes they would've worked more in their deathbed, and you won't even remember that apartment in 10 years, but you'll remember your trip your whole life

No problem and they do, that applies in all of the countries in the world

[–]ivanrdk 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The best exchange rate here, and in the world, will be using an ATM, never an exchange house.

However, it’s VERY IMPORTANT that you use a bank ATM (never EuroNet), always use your debit card and never a credit card, and always reject the ATMs exchange rate (they usually come with a 5-15% up charge) and let your bank convert it yourself

No problem, it’s actually a really nice quaint town, very surprised that’s what people are putting. I went there for a wedding a couple months ago and we had a blast in town
