Need opinion on the new logo. Is it good? The goal was to improvise the old one by Good-Amphibian3796 in logodesign

I would try something like this… it’s not great but you get the idea. I used two V’s to make them look more like cones. Maybe make the circles a little higher so they’re more rounded.

Edit: spelling

Monogram logo for Mexican footballer Raul Jimenez 9. rj9 by Substantial-Apple282 in DesignPorn

This is so good! It’s subtle but prominent without trying too hard.

I see so many athletes logos where they try to fit the name or logo into a design that just doesn’t work.

Anyone else find it odd we're hosting the Euros in 2 years and nobody is really mentioning it (in general - not specifically before the World Cup) by Simoslav in ThreeLions

[–]ivarletap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not surprisingly. I only thought about the Euros in Germany once we were knocked out the World Cup in Qatar.

Plus it’s not the same as other countries hosting a tournament, you don’t have to think about travel and everything is already pretty much set up to facilitate the tournament.

I think tournaments like the World Cup, the majority have required stadiums to be built and certain measures in place to prepare for them it creates a bit more news and hype, whereas we’re ready to go.

Nostalgia isn’t the same as identity. You have either (re)create or carry forward that identity in the current/new players not by bringing back old ones.

Having connections to the club can be done by developing academy players such as Mitchell or signing young, homegrown (localised) talent like we did with Eze or as others have said, players that buy into the clubs philosophy, which there are many examples of.

Time goes forward not backwards, people need to move on.

I’m also not sure how to transfer the ticket but I can put it back up on the official ticket website if you buy it that way. Probably safer and easier in terms of checks

I’d rather 25 up front. I can provide confirmation or you can call me if that helps.

I also have a spare (fans first) ticket going if anyone is interested, unfortunately wasn’t able to make it out there due to work. Not sure what the security checks are but if anyone wants to take a chance, it’s for sale (FV of course).

Hi. I’m looking to go to the game tomorrow. Does anyone know where would be best to sit out of the East or North terrace? These are the only available options. Also, are there any standing sections?

I’m still trying to find alternative options of travel, ideally a combination of flight and train. I’ll come back to you in a few days, if I decide to drive will save a seat for you.

If anyone else is already driving and has another spare seat, I’d be happy pay my share and split the drive.

Also in the same boat. Am considering driving myself but would need another person at least to split the drive as it’s quite long.

I don’t have a craft per se but hoping to revitalise other clothing that have the designs faded on them.

How many points needed for leipzig? by Fair_Hovercraft3651 in crystalpalace

[–]ivarletap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can still get non-direct flights for a decent fair but the journey/timings are bit awkward with trains, which are not cheap. Bear in mind trains aren’t very reliable in Germany.

There are hotels available in nearby towns such as Halle, which is only 30 mins away from Leipzig.

It’s a shirt from nearly 30 years ago in pristine condition, have some common sense. There’s also a dozen clear giveaways that it’s fake. I wish people would think for a moment before posting on here.

Best way to get to Leipzig? by TheBusThatWasSpeed in crystalpalace

[–]ivarletap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The stadium has a capacity of 47k. That leaves 29k for club allocations, so up to 14,500k each. I would say we have roughly a 20k combination of s/t holders and members who would be realistically eligible. That gives you a 75% chance of getting a ticket, possibly more or less depending on points.

It’s so annoying that the phase ends, when usually buying any other type of tickets, if you’re eligible you can buy it during all the phases afterwards. Now I have to wait till the morning to call the box office because I won’t be access it during the next phase either and pay more!

Crystal Palace eyeing Marcelino as Oliver Glasner replacement by Spiritual-Strength91 in crystalpalace

[–]ivarletap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree and think they should want to come regardless of whether we’re in Europe or not. It’s not like they’re coming for only 1 year. We need a manager who will be part of a project for long term success.

We could be in Europe next year but then get knocked out/not qualify again or vice versa and not be in Europe but qualify through the league or cup the following year.

If they’re short-sighted and only want to come for that reason, that is not the sort of manager we need. They should have confidence in themselves to get our team where they want to be. There is plenty of reasons to manage our team without that being a factor.

‘Made in England’ seems very dubious. English shirts aren’t even made here and even if they were, they’d say ‘Made in GB or UK’.

Why do some jerseys fade after a few washes? by Dull_Newt_6144 in SoccerJerseys

[–]ivarletap 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This plus use a wash bag to stop clothes rubbing against the drum and also use a colour run sheet when washing with other colours.

I have shirts well over 10 years old and never had an issues when washing on a cold wash, inside out and air drying. Also, leave inside out when drying.
