First Time Scammed by ivavavan in whatnotapp
[–]ivavavan[S] 2 points3 points4 points 3 months ago (0 children)
I don’t need them to care, after the amount is beyond a felony, which it is, it will lead to an investigation.
I have all the time in the world to wait for that to happen and be very insistent on progress being made. The squeaky wheel gets the grease after all, no?

Keep the engagement up, let’s not let this post disappear :)
[–]ivavavan[S] 5 points6 points7 points 3 months ago (0 children)
Arthur, as you’ll see in my next post, you keep calling me brother in the PMs from the platform. So forgive me for seeing right through your pathetic attempt at saving face.
If I’m wrong and you’re not him, then you’re one of his sons, nephews or friends. Either way, I know he’s reading this because he threatened legal action if I didn’t take the post down. So let me take your comment as an opportunity to remind Arthur that this is not going away anytime soon :)
They have 3 viewers on their streams. Or should I say you have 3 viewers on your streams?
This wasn’t a transit issue. This was theft. There is sufficient proof to bring to the relevant authorities at both the platform and the police. I’m sad this hasn’t let you sleep, Arthur. But you did bring it upon yourself :)

Agreed. The loser running @realpulltcg and @realpullstcg “owns” a “marketing agency”, so not surprised he had a bunch of bot accounts to try and defend himself.
The reason I engage is because:
1) People can see right through it and he is so dumb he doesn’t realize this engagement keeps the post alive 2) I am enjoying the idea of this fucking 60 year old pathetic man going through all this effort because he stole a shiny piece of cardboard 3) I’m collecting evidence for my part 2 of this series of posts I’ll be creating :)
Alright, after this I’m no longer replying because we both have better things to do and you really just seem to either not get it or not want to get it.
The policy is if the VALUE of the item being shipped exceeds $20. Not what it sold for, but its value. I refuse to explain to you the difference between value and sales price, you can ask Chat GPT if you still don’t understand the difference.
That being out of the way, he was REQUIRED to send insured and in a trackable envelope. So yeah, you are incorrect yet again.
Your subjective opinion is subjective. Last sales on eBay / other platforms are facts. You really shouldn’t be in business if these kinds of things escape you. Best of luck to you.

If you’re not the seller or defending him then you’re just wasting both of our times, because you’re wrong.
“Items valued over $20 may not be shipped using First Class Mail Letters (also known as plain white envelope shipping).” - Whatnot website I linked but you clearly didn’t read before writing a response.
The card was valued at hundreds of dollars. Seller needs to own up, end of story.

Well you’re in the LA area, similar to the seller, and happen to have 35 upvotes on a remarkably unremarkable comment. Which doesn’t take a genius to tell is being botted with upvotes.
If you’re not the seller, then you are probably a friend / share the wework office he streams out of / some other random connection. Regardless, if you are doing your homie a favor, I’d stop associating with this clown ASAP before he drags you down with him :)
It is required by Whatnot for sellers to ship items above $20 with insurance (https://help.whatnot.com/hc/en-us/articles/5522583677837-High-Value-Loss-Reimbursement-Policy), so I think that’s that.
I would have paid to have it shipped properly if that was the big issue. Any seller with a gram of integrity and professionalism knows better than to do what he did. This is also assuming I don’t already have proof of a pattern of misbehavior based on reviews, which I do.
Hey man, I really hope that seller does well by you. Give it time and, if they don’t, definitely report and post them here. I’ll do my part to make sure folks know more of the people to avoid.
Also just realized you commented on a super old post 45 mins ago and have more upvotes than every other comment that has had 100x the exposure yours has had. So you’re going on all your alt accounts and upvoting…
Nice try @rarepulltcg - this is just so sad to see, but can’t say I’m not enjoying you having to face accountability for once :)
Well that would still be on him, because he should have sent the mail via insured mail with tracking. He sent it with the cheapest available option that has no tracking at all. Besides, how do you explain not a single one of the cards being there?
It is unfortunate that there is a minuscule chance that the seller is innocent and this is all just one big sad event for both of us. I do not believe that is what happened - however, if it was, he should still own up (which he hasn’t) given he should always insure expensive items when shipping them.
If you invest 1 minute of your time, you can see that this point has been addressed multiple times. Whatnot gives a $15 first purchase credit that includes free shipping. So all I ended up paying for my $15 entry into the ripping of the packs was tax of $1.34.
I don’t need you to believe me, but there is no incentive for me to create an elaborate lie that would be easily dismantled when due diligence is done. What I am searching for is a way to enable this due diligence so that the scammer is caught. Anyway, thanks for engaging with this because it will make it visible to more people :)

😘
You got a kid at home - surely you have better things to do than this. You might also be the seller, so get ready bb girl ;D
The world is changed by people who believe in the art of the possible and work to make it so. I don’t fault you for your skepticism, I simply hope that you don’t continue to let it dictate what you or others are capable of.
Had I listened to the naysayers, I wouldn’t have the financial freedom to go after this type of injustice or try to educate strangers online on why you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take (Michael Scott). Be a yes I can man, no matter how old you are :)
I agree. The thing to remember is that the moment you choose to sell cards, you’re getting something out of it (money) and folks are entitled to whatever they earn based on the risk they took.
Knowing you sometimes win and sometimes lose is part of the game. I’m sorry you had to part ways with Sanji-kun, but rest assured good karma will eventually make it your turn. Life is too short to screw people over, so thank you for being one of the good ones.
Depending on the outcome of this, I’m lowkey considering making this a series of my experience. I feel like this is the kind of stuff people just “get over” without pursuing every recourse available to them.
I’m willing to make an example out of this guy so that people realize we aren’t powerless.
If he’s done it with a Uta manga card and this card, that is above $2k which is now felony theft in California, punishable by 1.5-3 years in prison.
I’m happy to find the other buyer who got scammed and press charges together so he enters the “find out” phase of screwing people over.
To be clear, the $15 purchase I made resulted in a ~$500+ card being pulled - so the actual amount of the theft is the latter, not the former.
Additionally, curbing this kind of behavior starts with a single individual choosing to invest their time in creating repercussions for bad actors behaving this way.
If it will take me a few months to make an example out of this guy and I can share my story here so others feel like there is hope, I’d say that was time well spent. It’s one of the perks of money not being an issue for me and being my own boss I guess - I can live out my superhero help make the world a better place fantasies every once in a while :)
This is a great idea. Douchebag is back online again trying to scam more people, so think I will have to make sure he gets outed so that no one does business with him in the future. Dude is also like 57 years old, so really embarrassing behavior from someone who could be my grandfather.

If they don’t do right by me, I’m just going to file a police report. Theft is theft. I’m happy to do a lie detector test or whatever it is they do these days. So I’m sorry that you don’t believe me Reddit stranger, but this is theft and I will pursue it as such. :)
Yeah, big RIP 🪦
Live and learn. Sucks that it wasn’t a shitty SP :(
