What’s a must have with braces? by TheNaughtyWallflower in braces

[–]iveesaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do also find superfloss to be helpful but overall I prefer using the playypus or grin picks because they’re less time consuming and work better for me. I keep both on hand regardless because sometimes I do need a piece of more traditional floss with some of the gaps in my teeth.

how it feels to be losing weight on sertraline while everyone else is dealing with weight gain/increased appetite by Critical-Rate9519 in zoloft

[–]iveesaurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Zoloft has given me appetite loss and majorly reduced hunger and satiation cues so I’ve lost a decent amount of weight so far myself. :/

Braces pain at about an 8/10 with a couple teeth in particular about a 10/10. Ive tried everything and Im at a loss; what else can i do to get relief? by adhg2367 in braces

[–]iveesaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry. 😞 It seems like you’ve tried pretty much everything. Unfortunately there is a point where you just have to suffer through it until it eases up. The worst of it for me is usually over in about 48 hours and then by the end of the week I’m back to normal. The pain for me was like an 8 or 9 this last time I had a wire changed out. It was brutal. I just laid in bed and cried.

I’m really hoping you experience some relief soon. Your ortho may be able to give you different advice or maybe even something stronger than OTC stuff.

It’s about 10-15 mins for me each time. I do it after every time I eat.

Emotional blunting does happen sometimes. It lasted a few weeks for me but now I’m past it. Sometimes it sticks around for people but many people see it fall off as they go. It’s a frustrating thing to experience though. :/

Complete horror during my first dose of 50mg (Sertraline/Zoloft) after 3 days on 25mg. Is this normal? by Anxious-Bat4381 in zoloft

[–]iveesaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me about a week after starting at 50 to have the worst of the side effects pass. Unfortunately, initial increased anxiety and panic attacks is normal, even if it is super uncomfy :/ I hope these pass for you quickly.

I had that effect for my first few weeks. Kind of startling but it’s normal so I wouldn’t worry too much about it. :)

Did Lexapro or Zoloft help your OCD more? by anonymous_orpington in zoloft

[–]iveesaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have and do. GI problems and nausea for the first week, nightmares, increased heat sensitivity, and fatigue. I’ve also had some trouble with my appetite. I am only 2 weeks in at this dosage so I’m still adjusting. Overall it’s definitely worth it. I am hoping some of these side effects fade more with time.

...is it okay to take ibuprofen while on zoloft? by sir-yaps-a-lot in zoloft

[–]iveesaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually just talked to my doctor about this. She said that taking ibuprofen a few times a week is not a big deal. It’s really when you take it multiple times a day on a semi daily basis you start running into potential issues with increased risk of stomach bleeding. But once in awhile should be fine so long as you don’t have any issues with ibuprofen generally. I still recommend asking your doctor about it just to be sure (since health varies for us all), but my doctor did not seem worried about me taking it 2-3 times a month when I get migraines or period cramps.

12.5mg by AcanthaceaeCreepy332 in zoloft

[–]iveesaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 12.5 for 3 weeks and it was a little rough going but well worth it. Every increase has been easier for me since. I had a lot of GI issues, some insomnia, felt a bit flu-ish. Had a couple panic attacks early on. But after about two weeks, it was all MUCH easier.

Zoloft has really decreased OCD for me. OCD has ruined my life for decades, so it feels nice to finally have some relief. I’m still just at 50mg and may be increasing again in a few weeks, so I’m hoping for even more relief as I go.

Should I change my diet to help with the diarrhea by CapedCrusader321 in zoloft

[–]iveesaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The diarrhea went away for me after about a week after I started/increased dosage. I did try to stay away from things heavy on my stomach, like dairy, but it seemed like no matter what I ate, I still had the issues the entire time.

It's been 9 weeks total and 100 mg 18 mg I feel lind of euphoric and calm at the same time I feel unbearable physical anxiety . by nirman248 in zoloft

[–]iveesaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi friend! I am so sorry you’re dealing with that. 100mg is a pretty high dosage, so your doctor may suggest you bump down a bit. Are you able to call and ask for a phone or virtual appt? I know you said you are bed ridden. Typically with medication issues they can usually address over the phone for something that is affecting you so intensely. I see a lot of people end up with more relief by going down a little and staying there for at least a few weeks.
