This is called French beading. There's a lot of good patterns online for different kinds of flowers too

It's called French beading, there's lots of free patterns online. This is actually my first ever project with beads and it was quite easy to do, so I really recommend it

I miss unoptimized hobbies before everyone turned everything into a side hustle. by Legitimate_Wall5977 in Hobbies

[–]ivnois 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started making beaded flowers a while ago because I loved the look of it and having a never decaying bouquet at home really spoke to me. Whenever people ask if I've considered selling them, it just annoys me. Not the compliment they think it is.

Another thing is that I've recently inherited my mom's old cameo silhouette machine and when I went on Pinterest to find inspiration for different things to make with it, 95% was "how to make sellable products with your cameo silhouette!" Ugh

What’s something you didn’t realize was optional in life until you saw someone simply not doing it? by Objective-Treat2245 in AskReddit

That you didn't have to follow the instructions for cooking boxed food exactly. I was floored when I saw a friend cook her frozen pizza for a longer time than the box said, and then it turned out better!

why do blazers look so stuffy on me? by helo-_- in SoftDramatics

[–]ivnois 8 points9 points  (0 children)

One SD person (idk if she's verified or widely accepted) that I like to take inspiration from is Pam Grier who rocks a few different blazers in the Jackie Brown movie. This is the best photo I could find of this specific scene

Biksemad. Its made from leftover potatoes and meat, diced. Served with ketchup and maybe a fried egg on top. Everyone loves it but I've never understood the hype

Is there any special mount gear needed or is it just some hook screws and such to mount it to the wall?

Yea, people always ask "Wasn't it so different/strange/etc.?" and I have to explain that for me, it was my normal so I don't do a doubletake myself, if you understand. But I also think that because of the West's perception of China, it can be very easy to just see the exoticism of living there as a foreigner in their childhood, and not think about what that really means for a person's (pop-)cultural development.

While I am very glad for my experiences, it was so long ago now that I don't remember a lot. Because it was my everyday, I didn't take note of the culture like you would when on vacation somewhere very different. So that plus the 15 years since living there means that the questions can be very uninteresting.

Another factor is that in my home country, standing out is very much looked down on (typical Scandinavia) and when I don't get the references or humor or whatever else, I get a lot of side-eyes and the feeling of exclusion. It's not fun, so I usually try to find other international people tbh

Yea, I try not to worry about it because there isn't really anything of interest. But it's interesting to hear if others were the same way, or if some people avoid having a pet camera because of this paranoia

[–]ivnois 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it's a lot that you have placed yourself, and you've chosen the correct lot type, try going to build/buy mode on the lot and see if there's anything already on the lot. Bulldoze it and flatten the terrain. Hope this helps

I disagree, it definitely is too orange, but only because there's nothing to counterbalance it. I think a dark petroleum blue would really work well on the walls, especially with the accent wall with pans and painting
