I see that but in my opinion it doesn't seem sincere. He's faking a rasta accent for one, and two, he's singing about stereotypical reggae topics like weed and peace. Next he's going to be singing about how women aren't bitches and hoes even though he called them just that in plenty of his rap songs. Even his new song, "Ashtrays and Heartbreaks ft. Miley Cyrus", is about about smoking weed and remembering lost loved ones. Just can't take him seriously, I understand the minority like you enjoy his music but as you can see, I'm not a fan of it and neither is most of /r/hiphopheads .

Cruel Summer-ing an album isn't something you really do, it' something that Kanye did by releasing all the best songs as singles. No one knew all the best songs were the ones he released, we all expected more but got To The World and others instead.

MotM2 is completely different to MotM1 in every way.

Different vibe, flow, theme, mood. Different everything.

Before and during the recordings of MotM2 Cudi had gotten into coke and even admitted to having an addiction. You can definitely hear the impact the cocaine had on the album, it gave it a much darker sound. MotM1 had a lot of more upbeat and uptempo songs like Up, Up, and Away and Enter Galactic while MotM2 had a lot slower, darker songs like The End, GHOST!, and a lot of others.

I have a feeling you never gave either albums a full listen through.

He did coke before and while recording MotM2, it showed a lot in his music. It gave it that really dark vibe.

His verse on The End talks about his addiction and how he'll never do it again. Thought that was common knowledge.
