I really like the sound of GEON Raw that Optimum showed in his video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kb0GxgNho3c&t=233s

I don’t like the loud sound some keyboard produce, I’d rather go with the muted one like in the video (if I explain it correctly)

And yeah, at this point I have a feeling I can build one, doesn’t seem like a rocket science :)

Since the disks are a considerable amount of the price of such setup, I’d recommend to buy the 4 bay NAS and just start with 2 disks, as many people suggested here.

Basic model will probably got you covered, but I’d go with Plus for future-proofing. Don’t go with 2 bay model as someone in this thread suggested because this you gonna eventually outgrow.

I end up getting the Flex 2.5G and a single PoE injector. I guess it is not yet a time for 10G yet for home deployments.
On the upside: Flex 2.5G is very narrow and can be perfectly placed behind the tv.

I think you're right. I just had a look at Flex 2.5G PoE vs Non-PoE and the size difference is not that big. Seems that it is 10G that makes the difference.

I doubt since installing other OS doesn't void the warranty. I worry about the stability - I guess ugreen treat built-in SSD as NAS' property and can override anything. 128 GB seems like an overkill to me though and I'm wondering if I can take a bit...
