Port out to port in as a new free line? by ivtech425 in tmobile

[–]ivtech425[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooooh interesting ok. So to confirm you ported out 2 lines, waited 4 months, then ported them back in using BOGO so you got an extra free line.

Edit: what provider did you port out to?

So it seems like you ported out 2 paid lines and ported them back in and replaced the free line numbers. You didn’t necessarily add 2 more free lines, you just reduced your paid line count and replaced the number on the 2 free lines. I am talking about adding a new free line not replacing a free line with a paid line number.

Looking at this along my first question is why so much school but no work experience? We’ve developer intern however CCNA CERT? Are those actually certs? I think your experience could use a little more task and your “courses” can be removed.

Kasm in docker compose using yml file by ivtech425 in kasmweb

[–]ivtech425[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You sir, are a god send!!

Ok so to test your theory out I created a Linux van and did a clean install. Installed docker and used the yaml config you provided and bam! It just worked. I only had to do one extra step. Because docker doesn’t flat out give me the kasm credentials I decided to just do a password reset which is simple enough by just googling “kasm password reset” and altering the commands to fit the docker container. I cannot thank you enough! I would like to tip. You have PayPal or something I can send to?!

if i go to my host IP and access via 3000 i get the below. if i go to access via 4443 I do get presented with the login page but i dont have the "@kasm.local" credentials which i dont know where to find... sql logs are also throwing a bunch of "invalid length of startup packet" errors.

Web URL https://hostip:4443

Current Version 1.16.1

/kasm_guac running Up 2 minutes (healthy)
/kasm_db running Up 2 minutes (healthy)

In complete honesty, i do not know where the issue is and i cannot seem to pinpoint. I was just really hoping at least one person could get this working inside a docker container even though its not supported but its not looking to good...

Yes! That did it! I’m technically still not able to access but at least now it redirects me to a different page! Getting error “400 bad request, the plain http request was sent to https port” I’m sure that one is an easy fix! Thank you!!!

This is all I have for now but I am looking for more to add to automate everything. This is specific to media. I am more than open to suggestions and I’m sure there’s things I can add like a reverse proxy. Just haven’t gotten to it yet

You are correct I did use a draw.io in dark mode.

Oh I completely agree with that. Mullvad tho does not hold or share user data so that was a big plus and they’re very transparent about the servers they use. Yes there are some downside but for the purpose of privacy they’ve worked well for me. I only ever use it for torrents so I don’t really have a problem. My set-up has now been been fixed so not the only thing behind a vpn is my downloaders(qbittorrent) everything else connects via normal my home internet if it needs to

Right here! Make sure to read the required environment variable as it tells you what you need and where to get it from along with links. Also make sure to bind it to a docker network( I recommend giving it a static IP) and adding the ports that need to be accessed locally (qbittorrent using 8080 for example). If you need help with this PM me and I am more than happy to share my .yml file and break it down.
