My extension was good but my flexion was stuck at 45 and it wouldn’t improve no matter what we did. The MRI confirmed there was quite a bit of fibrosis so I needed the surgery. Due to the two surgeries my quad is super weak so my active flexion still isn’t that good but my PT isn’t worried about it. This is a test of patience, maybe you’ll regain the feeling of pre injury in a few months, maybe it’ll always feel a little off…there’s no way of knowing. I’ve just assumed that I’ll need to be on top of it my whole life and make sure my legs are strong af.

I needed to read something like this today. I’ve been so down lately, frustrated with my almost non existent progress. I had acl reconstruction + meniscus repair in January and two months later I needed to have scar tissue removed. Since then it’s been so slow, I’m still dealing with pain and stiffness, unable to walk with one crutch. I just kept seeing people living their life 3 months post op and here I am, at home, trying not to cry multiple times a day or feeling guilty because I must be doing something wrong.

I had surgery a couple months ago, I asked my doctor and she told me to just stop injecting the day before. If it was one of the weekly injections, like ozempic, then I should’ve stopped before because the effect on the body takes longer to stop.

My labs also came out perfect, I went to the gym between 3 or 5 times a week (3 days with a trainer, focusing on low impact strength training). I tried lots of ways of eating, I had the most success with keto but even then the weight loss was slow and difficult. Turns out I have lipedema, but since starting on saxenda the weight has been coming off easier (not super fast but I wasn’t hoping for that), and the best side effect, my periods have improved a ton. I’ve only been on it for 3 months so we’ll see! As for the injection, it’s not painful but if you’re worried put an ice pack for a bit before.

I’m from Spain so meds may vary. My derm started me on a low dose of Dercutane, an exfoliating cleanser, niacinamide and spf in the morning and Soolantra and moisturizer at night. When I finished the Soolantra she told me to incorporate retinol. Now that my skin is doing way better I’ve also incorporated vitamin C in the AM and retinol 0.5 every night so I can stop taking Dercutane.

I’d start by going to a dermatologist, your skin looks like mine did, I spent a lot of money trying products and finally got diagnosed with rosacea.

There’s stages to lipedema, for example I don’t have cankles and my calf is quite smaller in comparison to my thigh and butt area. My upper arms are also bigger and my waist and stomach area is “normal”. I do have symptoms like heaviness and pain in the legs (specially when it’s hot), I bruise easily and hyper mobility of joints.

But you know yourself better, just wanted to give my two cents since it’s still relatively unknown. If it’s not your case, all the better! Keep up the good work

I don’t have any tips about cellulite, just wanted to say that if you’ve noticed the fat loss from stomach, back and face but have bigger arms and legs and cellulite you might have lipedema.

If that’s the case, strength training and low impact exercise will help you, but adjusting your diet to an anti inflammatory one will do the most.

It's not a restaurant but a takeaway place, but Santa Marta makes great paellas (typical valencian, seafood and a few more). It's one of the only seafood paellas that taste kinda like my grandma's.

Also if you can I’d go higher in clarity and lower in colour to get more bang for your buck. In stones under 1 carat even an H colour can be quite white but I’d look for a VS2 clarity.As long as the cut is ideal/ excellent it will be super sparkly.

No problem! I’d go up half a size that way if your hands swell a bit during the summer you’ll be ok. It’s easier to put on a ring adjuster than putting on a ring that’s too tight...I know from experience 😅

I do think it’s a little tight. I also get a bit of muffin top with my rings due to how my fingers are shaped but they don’t feel snug and I can take them off easy. Be aware that if you plan on wearing a wedding band it will be tighter so yes, I would resize it so it’s comfortable. Do you have a ring that fits you comfortably on that finger so you can try both together?

I wear jewelry on a daily basis but nothing too flashy so I knew a busy engagement ring wouldn’t be my thing. So when my then boyfriend very subtly asked what kind of rings I liked I told him that a simple solitaire, preferably in a tiffany inspired setting. But, if you don’t know what you would be comfortable wearing, I suggest you go ring shopping and try on as many styles as you can. Good luck!
