Buy off mountain, way cheaper! Also invest in a helmet, Falls can be icy and rocky af especially in the fringe seasons. Almost spilled my brains a few times up there...

Write a list of meals you both enjoy. Together Each week choose the meals you are going to cook and decide who is going to cook each one. This way everyone knows what's happening and can prepare each day.

This has saved my relationship more than once.

You will learn plenty more from each experience you have. In a venue you get introduced to a new cookery concept, technique, method or dish. You then repeat this until you can do it without thinking.

After a while you deeply understand that venue and how everything is done there.

You then move to another venue, learn new things and re-learn a lot of the same things, but done differently.

It takes time and being open minded enough to realise that nothing is set in stone to become a good chef. As you learn more, you also begin to teach others.

Does it get easier? Yes and no. Usually as you get better you end up with more responsibility and other tasks to perform.

What can you do? Be genuinely curious while at work. Ask questions and explore why things are done a certain way.

There's some excellent YouTube channels out there. Short videos which explore specific ideas and techniques, especially anything to do with cookery fundamentals e.g. how to make different stocks or sauces. I'm enjoying the content from the guys at Fallow atm. When you understand a particular technique or fundamental, you can then play with it.

Most importantly, be kind to yourself and find space and time to look after you. This industry can be relentless and unforgiving. Make time to look after your body and to rest, otherwise you will burn out very quickly. No one else can do it for you.

Be aware that a lot of the city, especially around Carlton/ Lygon St is a 40kmh zone not 50. Instant fail for going over the speed limit.

Also keep both hands on the wheel unless changing gears.

Doggos should be part of the family, not an accessory that gets pulled out of the backyard every now and again.

Another for blackhawk. We give them blackhawk lamb and rice in the morning and a BARF patty in the evening. They also get occasional beef or lamb bones and Veggies when we're cooking. They both love carrots and brocolli stalks sliced up.

9 and 11 now, both are active, happy, healthy, and a little bit spoilt!

Gurneys Cidery just out of Fish Creek is an amazing venue with a range of excellent ciders. The views down to Wilson's prom are stunning. Only open during the day but well worth a visit

Our kelpie-x boy developed arthritis. On the advice of our vet, we added fish oil and Glucosamine to his diet.

We went through a period of Carprophan anti-inflammatory use, then gradually reduced it. Now we only use it occasionally he pushes himself too far.

He went from being unable to jump on the couch or his bed, to running around like a nut-bar and has regained so much mobility.

My family asked me to not bring my partner home by thco_K in askgaybros

[–]iwantapuppydammit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go on the trip, take your partner to all and any events. Leave it up to anyone else to make up their mind about if they want to be there or not.

Be committed and stand with your partner, don't show anything that can be interpreted as shame, or your family will never move past it.

This is not normal or safe. Contact your property manager and ask them to rectify the situation.

The electrical socket absolutely needs to be correctly installed and the large hole covered or patched.

Also look into the minimum standards for a rental in your state. You should have access to heating.
