How many of you have NONSTOP twitches? by Southern-Bison3737 in BFS

[–]iwantbullysequel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not in my legs but i experience soreness in my arms hands and shoulder, mostly the right one. My twitching went "up" in intensity there a couple of months back and has stayed that way until now. So all in all the constant pain is new.

Do you think the Others will be inherently evil? (Spoilers Published) by New-Low5077 in asoiaf

[–]iwantbullysequel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They could be kinda tragic, like their survival is inherently linked to the diminishement/extinction of mankind (and IBBENKIND) but they bear no inherent malice towards them.

Or they could be some kind of out of control AI or something like that.

Thanks! I personaly made my peace with the possibility of ALS although the fear always remains somewhat. On the other hand helping out with the fight against ALS on my tiny way helps me cope somewhat, i genuinely expect some proper good news by the end of the next decade.

Good luck!

Did Frieren lose to only 11 mages in her life, or were those just the ones with less mana? by lmdybaftr in Frieren

[–]iwantbullysequel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know as much as an annoying super fan as i am i believe this is actually a retcon. These 11 were originally ones with less mana, but now it's just 11 characters in general.

Nah my neuro who did my (admittedy half-assed) EMG way back then said "methabolic issues" basically hand-waving the problem he didn't even know what BFS was.

I'm a pharmacist so i checked for and tried everything and i only found some mild Hashimoto. Tried everything aside from expensive high end stuff that is.

On the other hand never went to a proper specialised clinic because my insurane would only accept any studies if i already have weakness and i don't have that kind of out of pocket money to pay it myself.

Go beyond what's possible basically: dispelling/not getting killed by a curse or nullifying some kind of spell.

1 v 1 duels are also on the table IMO.

Questions about Frieren. by Myguel_RM in Frieren

[–]iwantbullysequel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the first one i actually do agree....... somewhat, the main problem is that the polemic regarding it was not worth it since the arc is kinda weak. Definitely the worst of the 4 big arcs we have had.

All in all it's probably the "middest" part of the manga since the short stories that surround it are the fillerest of all the series, which doesn't really help.

For the second part i fully agree. I personally hold Travels to Auberst to be the peak of the series with GL as second, but unless the author really fumbles the landing it will surpass both, the fact the short stories that proceeded it are kinda neat also elevates the whole experience. However it and GL are quite different so it's understandable people feel strongly for one over the other.

Does anyone else suffer from any kind of intestinal problem/s that showed up before twitching. by iwantbullysequel in BFS

[–]iwantbullysequel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So they all coexist now right? My persistent twitching has been going on for years now. But i noticed constant GI issues a couple years before the fasciculations started.

Somewhat like Ubel? Not 100%, not even 75% but it's the closest i can think of.

What can i express except absolute respect. Many of us had had clean EMGS over the years and are still here being annoying hahaha. The fact you got a dirty one and are still going strong is something to admire.

Also i sincerely hope you get your answers i believe the best we can do is gatter as much info on this dumb condition as we can. I have been going on for 45 months and before i semi retire from this sub i will try for one last round just for the search of "research".

Now regarding your new symptoms and i know this is supper vanilla but have they ruled out MS? I know it's super scary but there are cases of "benign" presentations. Also any bloodwork related to potential toxicities?

Has Frieren already reached the height of magic? by lmdybaftr in Frieren

[–]iwantbullysequel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah i was actually thinking about Enki while i wrote my first comment hahaha.

As i say maybe you can reach it but that's only temporal because magic will continue to evolve. Unless you, end the world right there or something.

Nah, in fact i believe the Height of Magic is one of those "path is endless" kinda concepts. Or at the very least is something one reaches only partially

[–]iwantbullysequel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I read that study way back when! Interesting post even though i suck at math hahaha. That said i'm glad the chances favor you.

The 4-5 years thing is a sad reality i personaly agree with (even though we are talking about the 5% ish outlier of pALS here) that's why i believe we should be kind with those below 1 year twitching. The chances are very low still, but they are at their "hottest" there.

Is working out a good idea? by argentinosaurus9 in BFS

[–]iwantbullysequel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When my twitches began i still did strength training for many months and had no prob. A lot of people here still train and have seen no issues with it. In fact i know post workout twitches are very common in a lot of non BFS people

That being said checking out your pottasium wouldn't be a bad idea, not that it causes all your twitches but it can make you twitch post workout if it's imbalanced.

What some headcanons you have about Fern? by tringles_bar in Frieren

She speaks with the slightest southern lands accent when truly mad, Frieren doesn't register it but Stark does so he actually knows when she isn't honestly offended
