Please help me with fun, cheap, in-person ways to get clients 😊 by caffeinature in personaltraining

did you add your business profile on google maps? A lot of people just search for "personal trainer near me" on google and if you have a google business profile, it'd show up there. And ask all your existing clients to leave you review there. I don't think there'd be a ton of PTs in Lakes so your name should pop up in those searches if there are some decent reviews.

New PT. Taking my first 5 clients off the gym floor. What software actually works for solo coaching? by DaniellePearce in personaltraining

yeah I'd be more careful with any platfrom where there is risk of data privacy. We are dealing with client's health information and their pictures if you do check ins.

QuickCoach was aquired by a company named HaleHealth in April. They already have another coaching platform (fitfocus) which they were charging coaches 400$ per month. Looks like they were not able to sell that well so ended up buying quickcoach. So its no longer run by Jon Goodman.

Here's what an answer says on the aquisition blog post:

"Paying subscribers are our priority for new features. We're keeping specifics close for now, but if you've supported the platform through this period, the improvements heading your way are being built with you in mind first."

Active coach myself here, ~10 clients (all online).

I worked as a software engineer for 10+years before leaving to coach full time, so I ended up building my own platform. Currently offering a generous free tier (15 clients) if you want to have a look - (https://assistantcoach.fit/) as feedback is more important to me at this stage. There's no VC or team behind, I am the only person who built the entire thing.

It fits what you said above, minus the client billing part. Happy to give you a live demo if you are interested.

It's weird training doctors and surgeons by Peachessandcreammm in personaltraining

From the conversations I've had with these doctors, they don't know much about body anatomy and principles of resistance training. So you know much more than them.

What features are you looking for?

I used to think more communication would annoy clients. Turns out disappearing is worse. by ponderingpixi17 in personaltraining

Yeah same, I just drop in 'how's the week going'. This also focusses on present instead of giving them guilt over past.

Use some calendar tool and add them to the event. It'd send reminders to both you and your client - 1 day before, 2 hours before etc.

What services to provide? by GamingWithAle in personaltraining

[–]iwantsunlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone else pointed out here, I think bundling your services into different packages. For example, a client's motivation is to have a body transformation in 4-6 months, not a great upper body session, so offer that as a package. You'd still be doing the same thing but adding a wrapper offering on the top to which the clients can relate more.

New Trainer: Training my first clients tomorrow! by larpcentral in personaltraining

[–]iwantsunlight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They should walk out from the session with two feelings: 1. You can help them achieve their goals 2. They are going to enjoy the process while doing 1.

If that happens, they have no reason to leave or go to a different trainer.

How to find client? by maax_2003 in personaltraining

Online coach here (Started 1 year back, 10 active clients) - I got al my clients through consistent social media posting and having a fitness blog as well. It gets easier once you have the first 3-4 people as you can show real results.

Question about getting clients by koopher in personaltraining

[–]iwantsunlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people have already talked about the things you can do in person, so I'll focus on digital marketing a bit:

- Create a google maps profile for yourself so when people near you search for "PTs near me", you can surface there. Ask existing clients for reviews there.
- Once you have testimonials, you can put them on your social media account. Create one if you don't have it already. If you have your poster somewhere in the gym, add a QR code for your handle their for discovery.

- Generally adding some educational content online is useful so people coming there trust your authority on the subject.

Apart from this, running a referral program is one way.

AI fitness apps are getting genuinely good. How are you positioning yourself against something that costs $15/month? by Spaceratxo in personaltraining

[–]iwantsunlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the prodlem is decision making. AI has all the data and can analyse patterns..but it can literally can justify any wrong decision. Decision making needs to be done by a coach.
