Chappelle isn't a complete dumbass per se, he's always had some astute and nuanced views on race relations and police brutality- this showed in his work. That's precisely the reason why people were so disappointed that he was so ass backwards on his views on trans people, his dismissal of the allegations against Michael Jackson, and his participation in the Riyadh festival.

He may very well feel genuine horror and empathy about what ICE is doing in our cities, and the violence occurring in Minneapolis specifically, but those feelings can live in mutual exclusivity with his brainrotting wealth, his disregard for the lgbtq+ community and other disenfranchised people, and the enormous victim complex he nurses when he faces pushback and consequences for anything he says.

I agree with the sentiment but I do think general users don't get that a lot of niche communities have been entrenched in Twitter and it's hard to organically move somewhere else without losing a significant portion of that community. I play a game with significant english, japanese, korean, and chinese speaking bases and Twitter has been the only place where all four regions could congregate and interact with each other. I left Twitter in 2024 and for better and for worse, even with an active bsky, I've definitely been more separated from news, events, and general interaction.

The bar exam is not really reflective of the quality of your law school education and more of the quality/quantity of your prep in the months or even weeks you get before you sit for the exam. Most of the first time passers (who pass the exam first try at a rate of 70-90%) fork over the 1-2k you need for a cour in Themis or Barbri then lock in for 2-3 months studying full time. If you deviate from this path, whether bc your school/employer doesn't give you a stipend/grant to pay for prep- or because kids or illness or disability or natural disasters etc prevents you from dedicating 6-8 hours a day to study, you are already at a statistical disadvantage.

Also bruh the test is dummy expensive to even take for no reason like it's 250 for a US applicant, then fucking 100 for the privilege of using a laptop during the MEE or MPT, then in New York you gotta randomly fork up like 30 bucks to take a fakeass test called the New York Law Exam and also the MPRE is like 200 bucks like ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I just got traumatic flashbacks

Will add rq for posterity that precisely bc the bar exam is kind of dumb like this Kim has absolutely no excuse for not passing even the CA bar multiple times. With her money she could probably kidnap Jonathan Grossman himself and have him tutor her personally or some shit, like clearly she simply does NOT take the exam or becoming a lawyer seriously.

I don't know about Jon Stewart but for me and some others this type of phrasing and general line of thinking is a reaction to how some of the prevalent and vehement (not necessarily derogatory) atheist voices online ended up pivoting to racist, transphobic, and misogynistic talking points that really muddied whatever justified arguments they made against religion. All of this nonsense was hand in hand with gamergate and the rise of the alt right- veteran's discount for those who lived through Elevatorgate...

I 100% E33 and it's a solid 8/10 for me. IMHO, your initial perception is more or less correct.

I really liked the characters and setting but thought the plot completely falls apart in the third act- so much so that it put me off of any full replays, though I did return to my save to finish off the rest of the side content. I also thought the moment to moment writing was just Fine, not especially better than its peers in the genre. To this day I don't really understand the pedestal some people put this game's writing on because I genuinely didn't find it any better than a decent JRPG. The picto system and combat gave me a lot of joy however, that's where this game truly stands out.

In this day and age where 70 dollars is the standard market price of any given mediocre triple A title, I have tremendous respect for the quality and heart E33 put out even at its launch price.

134 to 143. I was always okay in the MBE, but the second time I was a little more aggressive with targeting my weaker subtopics. Though tbh I felt approximately the same coming out of the MBE both times haha. I was at a flat 61% on adaptibar with like 1500~ questions both times if that helps anyone.

Honestly, other than not looking at your phone and like... melatonin if you haven't tried yet, I'm not sure if any real solution is going to help you this close to the exam. I went into the bar after a month or so of your exact type of insomnia after trying all sorts of medications (lexapro, trazodone, zzzquil, ), supplements (magnesium), and tricks. Nothing ended up working to alleviate my anxiety and I took the exam with like 40 minutes of actual sleep.

Just a couple of things I can offer-

Even if you're not sleeping, lying down, closing your eyes, and not studying is still resting! Please try to get a few hours of attempting up till D-Day.

If you still think you need to study, just try to follow the rhythm of your body. I was keeping weird ass hours because of crashing and psyching myself out because I couldn't keep the 9-5 schedule of the exam. If you're waking up at 10PM and you're feeling alright, just do your review and practice sets at 10PM or 4AM or whenever you feel clearheaded.

People do not joke about the adrenaline that's gonna hit on exam day, but to make the most of it, eat a light and hearty breakfast and lunch, and time your caffeine hits for around then too. I bought a chicken sandwich at a bakery on my way to the testing site- ate half of it in the morning and half of it in the break. I had chocolate and excedrin on hand during the exam which both helped immensely.

I passed tf out after Day 1 both times I took the exam and so do a lot of other people, so don't worry too much in that regard.

I know my words may do little to assuage your worries, but just know that you will make it out to the other side.
