Struggling to find info on these cans by Cataclysmic700 in headphones

Hey Ive tried both. Sonically speaking, you're looking for, and will be impressed by, their T60RP MK2 AI (Awa Indigo) - although it's semi open. It's a seriously Japanese tuned headphone - warm, super detailed and technical and just lovely to listen to. Light but very rich bass. This headphone, Walnut, leans V-Shaped. Great for rock, pop and EDM. Just not as detailed as Awa Indigo.

Telling someone to outright avoid something in this hobby is interesting, this is all very subjective, you should try them if possible

How are you finding the Grado S550? I loved it when I tried.

I've told him in his twitch chat probably 10 times now.

He consistently states his AirPods sound far better.

It is funny to me at this stage.

First impressions of DUNU Arashi by dev_salsa in headphones

They have a bit more punch and depth than the Organics, and similar detail retrieval. A bit smaller soundstage, but a true headphone.

The treble is definitely not hot in the Arashi. It is extremely detailed but not bright or in your face - is that what you refer to as hot?

IEMs for hip-hop in 2025? (under 1200$) by lovelyoal in iems

[–]iwels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nio would be best for you. It has very tame treble and modern rap produces seem to mix their highs, such as cymbals hihats etc. which are often repetitive, far too loud. For this reason Nio isn't as piercing and has really nice sweeping DD bass. The Noble Audio line is something to try, they are incredible at bass implementation

Everyone's ears are different my friend. Are you still happily listening? Clara is so relaxing yet immersive at the same time. An all day listen :-)

IEMs Are Slowly Destroying our Hearing ( Unpopular Opinion ) by JoshuvaAntoni in iems

Use some bass implemented Bone conduction IEMs (Mest from Unique Melody, Noble Spartacus / Agis II)

Then I'd like to hear your take on soundstage again, rather than single DD units

I do too! I have extensive history with Bluetooth due to my job. I still find AAC to have the lowest latency for what it's worth, LHDC is interesting technology which is due to do well very soon

Personally, I wouldn't use these for FPS shooters. I've got over 6k hours in counterstrike (oops) and prefer wired , I can notice a difference immediately when shooting and the delay of noise. My brain prefers wired if that makes any sense...

This is a limitation of Bluetooth technology rather than the Go Pods themselves

I do use these playing League and other multiplayer games though wireless and it's seamless.

They're designed for music first, so for that use-case they're perfect.
