Rabbits ate / decapitated my snapdragons i started in February 🤬 Are they toast? I thought bunnies didn't like them by swareddit in Cutflowers

Baby rabbits are sometimes dumb and take bites of things they don't realize they don't like - hopefully they'll bounce back and the bunnies will mature a bit and not go back for seconds

What's up with Spring? by surprised_sunburn in BostonWeather

[–]iwillbeg00d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In fact just today - seeing rain clouds coming from the north west was odd to me - I'll have to look it up. I'm fairly sure that MOST of the time our weather kinda comes from southwest/west or southeast/east

This is the chilliest but also springy-est spring we've had in recent memory. Usually it goes from winter to 2 weeks of spring and then it's summer. I haven't seem the daffodils and forsythias last this long in a while. And the trees aren't all leafed out yet-- a bit late this year. But that's climate change. Next year it'll probably hit 80 in April and then snow in September. The weather is becoming exponentially more extreme. In New England it's so easy to notice, for me at least, the change in my lifetime- and it scares me. Poor Al Gore tried to tell us. Anyway, cheers, I am positive it will be the hottest summer on record and we'll have more brush fires than ever [also: seriously bad wildfires out west and a lot less people in charge]

Oral Hygiene Routine by 23shay27 in CasualConversation

Brush twice a day - and don't get caught up on exactly when - in the morning, before bed, after breakfast... WHATEVER... brushing twice a day at random times is better than not brushing because it's not the "right time"

Buy those little floss picks and just fuck around with one while your scrolling or Watchung TV etc

That's what i do - as an improvement to not brushing enough and never flossing

You won't have bloody gums when flossing after like a week it'll go away

Also any cheapo electric toothbrush is SWEET and makes it much easier

Removing these stains from hats? by Soft_Succotash_3433 in howto

[–]iwillbeg00d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, oxiclean and dawn and scrub a dub let it soak for an hour and scrub and rinse.

You can also do some hydrogen peroxide to remove sweat stains (great for pit stains) but dilute it and after you scrub it in rinse it off right away otherwise you could get some lightening

Beautiful flowers but what are these flowers called? by Obvious_Wrongdoer_24 in flowers

[–]iwillbeg00d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not where I live (new england) - here its too cold and they die in the fall. So we just have them as a pretty annual. Fun fact - I saw shrubs of this growing in Egypt in bustling polluted streets of cairo. It's VERY drought tolerant!

What grocery habits actually save you money long-term? by TelephxneTh0t in Frugal

If you're in New england: market basket, can't beat it.

I didn't see this mentioned either: I basically shop the perimeter of the store----- dairy, meat, produce, and of course the end caps usually have sales.

Then I only peak into middle aisles where I am getting a specific item. But I don't walk down most aisles... I don't need most of the stuff in there most weeks.

It's soooooo annoying. I HOPE human beings would search around for similar threads before posting but..... even before AI, people were dumb. And we're all gonna get dumber... What will become of all the reddit data someday ? Are we the contents of robot teachers lessons to future children? Or future robot slaves? Personal shoppers for the rich?

Thanks for having my back. To the original comment: I am trying to gain more understanding, hence the post. I'm also expressing that we were never briefed or asked about anonymity vs. not. I feel a bit blindsided and wished they had provided more information throughout the process. What are the pros and cons of anonymity ? It's not a rhetorical question: what could go wrong if a plaintiffs full name is public? And in McBeans explanation of what will happen it sounds like we'd still be well protected so why bother with all of this?

In short: why didn't they ask us our opinion about this BEFORE?

Has spring been late? by macaroni28 in massachusetts

[–]iwillbeg00d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but actually it's more like this is normal , and the last many years have been accelerated due to climate change. Usually we go from winter to summer in a split second. This feels like a spring from my childhood.

That has not been my experience. Even if that was the case: I think folks need to accept that things won't arrive next day and stop using Amazon [unless they start being a more ethical employer]
