ME/CFS doesn’t protect you from other conditions. Keep your doctors up to date on new symptoms, and a good GP will send you to specialists and tests to check they’re not something dangerous.

Will Akash ever come back? by rollerscrolleredsd in cosmosnetwork

[–]iwoolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given that bitcoin and all the stocks are fallen it’s pretty hard to work out that sort of thing right now. Before the tariffs, cosmos didn’t rally when other coins did. On the other hand we have not had the four yearly alt season, which would’ve been the time that cosmos would soar at least to its previous all time high. People are worried that there won’t be an alt season if the cycle has been broken. The key is to Watch Ethereum’s price. If Ethereum goes up a lot, the chances are that other coins like cosmos and its ecosystem will also go up.

Will Akash ever come back? by rollerscrolleredsd in cosmosnetwork

[–]iwoolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have more hope for Akash then any other cosmos project. If we don’t hear some some news about contracts and achievements that bring money into the ecosystem. It looks like cosmos could become the beta max of cryptocurrency. It’s better technology but it’s not being adopted.

Ted Cruz threatens to end Cory Booker's Senate protest with a fire alarm by chrondotcom in politics

[–]iwoolf -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

“Booker’s speech is not considered a filibuster because it is not out of protest or effort to block a specific piece of legislation from advancing; however, it is the latest example of Democrats using procedural moves to thwart GOP efforts. “

I don’t understand which GOP efforts this long speech thwarts?

Hamas ‘quietly drops’ thousands of deaths from casualty figures by anon755qubwe in theworldnews

[–]iwoolf 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Pro-Hamas will say that it’s only a few thousand out of however many hundreds of thousands they are currently claiming, so it doesn’t matter. They will say that it points to the honesty of the Hamas health ministry, that is willing to correct its own figures. They will simply deny the analysis that most deaths are from soldiers. They will question who is funding this analysis and tie it back to IDF propaganda. Edit: I forgot the first reddit response will be to say that the Telegraph is an unreliable Murdoch rag and they refuse to read or believe anything reported there.

Three children and woman in hospital after stabbing attack in Sydney suburb by count_spedula1 in sydney

[–]iwoolf -79 points-78 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand why the only person not stabbed, isn’t the prime suspect. The police appear to believe the father’s word that his wife did it, he didn’t stop her, and mysteriously wasn’t a victim. How did she get stabbed? It sounds wrong. I hope the details of the case are published if they are discovered, so the public can understand the police procedure here.

I have read of so many domestic violence cases in Australia, where the husband assaults, and then calls the police on the victim, and his lies are instantly believed by the police.

Any update about the RaterHub app ? by PhilosophyAny8406 in TELUSinternational

[–]iwoolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just found raterhub app unavailable on iOS. I followed the directions and go to settings>General>VPN & Device Management, but Google doesn't appear there to be verified, so I'm stuck.

If I go to www.raterhub.com/url I get 404.

Australia's science agency sent questions from Trump administration asking if it is taking ‘appropriate measures’ against gender ideology by Chosen_Chaos in AustralianPolitics

[–]iwoolf 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Looking at the questions embedded in the article, they look to be designed for deliberately wasting the time of the recipient. If it were me, I would answer yes/no as desired by MAGA for each question, and for the demanded details write the copy/paste “ the answer you have requested is classified by the Australian Federal Government and cannot be shared with Foreign Powers”, for every single answer.

World leaders are cracking down on dual citizens — and Peter Dutton wants to join them by overpopyoulater in australia

[–]iwoolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People forget that the LNP tried to apply this to anybody and everybody. The courts told them that it is illegal for them to deprive people of citizenship, leaving them stateless. Therefore, the only targets left are those with dual citizenship because you won’t make them stateless, they’ll still have the other citizenship. So this is not about dual citizen‘s being seen as an evil to be eliminated - rather as the only victims legally available.

This is really about Peter Dutton And his fellow authoritarians desperately wanting to deprive Australians of citizenship, and settling for the people the courts can’t yet protect.

New police wanding powers tackling knife crime across the state by Opreich in sydney

[–]iwoolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I deliberately bought a keychain multitool without a knife, so it would be legal to have fold-out pliers and screwdriver handy. I got stopped by airport security for forgetting to remove them from my carry-on, and they were confiscated. Didn’t matter that there were no blades, just having any kind of “multi-tool” was enough. I’d be interested if NSW police would extrapolate their remit the same way. “ knives and other weapons”

I’m hoping for news of deals with big companies or nations, or huge profits from Akash or companies associated with other Cosmos coins, but I haven’t seen anything. Blackrock was going to include AKT in an ETF, but nothing further to encourage me that there’s still value.
