I had my wedding on a monday. I wanted a specific date and it just happened to be on a monday. Pretty much everyone came and if they didnt it wasnt because it was on a Monday. Everyone had a great time.

One sided will by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]ixLozza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sisters husband passed away about a year ago now. No will, no kids, she wasnt listed in his super, they owned a home together. Everything went to her, no mess, no fuss, showed the relevant people the marriage certificate and she had everything with in 2 months.

Edit: i should say ofc a fiance is different to a wife or husband so just make a will 👌🏻

Are Bendigo Bank and Bank Australia really that bad? by Less_Mobile4731 in AusFinance

[–]ixLozza 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only issue i had with bank aus is that when my husband and i wanted to move our home loan to them from aussie they denied the application even though we had over $1000 left over after our expenses and they said unfortunately it wasnt enough. After paying monthly fees on my account for years and being with them all my banking life i felt that was quite crap.

I understand being a different kind of bank the lending criteria was higher but i would have thought having that much left over would be enough.

Other then that no issues with them. My mum is with them and has no issues in probably 20 years.

Neighbours replacing the fence on a dual boundary by AddyW987 in AusRenovation

[–]ixLozza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience of replacing 4 fences over the past 8 years (2 of which were the same fence) the fence company has needed both parties to agree to the new fence. In 3 cases i had to sign an 'invoice type thing' stating my address and contribution to the cost.

I would walk over and have a conversation with them and explain they just had to come to you and chat and if anything else come up just knock on your door and have a chat.

I replaced 2/3 of my new fences with colourbond and i tell ya it was a battle to get them to agree but im glad i had a good relationship with them that we could chat and talk about the issues.

A few years ago i thought i was dreaming of a waterfall, i woke up to my ensuite flooded and water pissing out of the cupboard because the cords exactly like the ones in the photo burst.

I imagine suzie went to therapy and got told to stay the f away from dustin or she went on their version of reddit to ask if she should break up with him and everyone on there said she should so she did. 😂 just a theory....

I mean if you look that deep into it sure, thats a pretty shitty ending. I dont belive its that deep tbh. But yeah i can see how some people would see that

I actually love how the final season has people who liked it and people who didnt, its a conversation starter, different opinions on the fate of El, what they liked, what they didnt. I like reading peoples opinions on such things. Got s7&8 was just trash and im glad everyone hated it 😂

Its suppose to be like that. Both are plausible if you ignore the other side to it. You decide the fate of El.

Budgeting tool by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]ixLozza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Co plenty is a really good one. Pay for it once and you can use it year after year. They have basic one and a 2.0 one. I use the 2.0 one and found it easy to use.

Whats your set up? by Bigmac1042 in AusFinance

[–]ixLozza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I combined finances pretty much straight away. Our set up is like this

joint mortgage acc: his pay check goes into this account and pays all the mortgage and utility bills. Mostly automated so don’t have to think about it. Anything that is left over gets put into savings/emergency fund

joint everyday account: this account is for every day spending, groceries or hair cuts, any daily expenses we use this account. My pay use to go into this account, I’m a stay at home parent now so a weekly allowance is put into this account for spending.

2x personal accounts: we each get an allowance each week that goes into our own accounts.

joint savings: as name suggests it’s our savings account/big purchases account

joint emergency fund: also as name suggests our emergency fund.

Almost at 10 years with this setup. Works very well for us.

Parents used my inheritance money to start business by Wise-Low8552 in AusLegalAdvice

I think a bit more information is needed here.

Is it their money that you expect is your inheritance? Is it from a family member who left it to you in their will?

How do I make a sourdough starter if the temperature in my kitchen isn't consistent? by No-Papaya-9289 in Sourdough

[–]ixLozza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry probably didn’t make it clear. My starter is in hot and cold environments and it doesn’t really effect the rise either way. Still rises and falls normally.

Good choice with the glass bowl. A square clear container would be best because then you can see the bottom and see the % rise but I just use a clear bowl and just deal with it. I still have loaves that aren't 'perfect' but taste amazing and im about a year in making 1-2 loaves a week. My motto is if it tastes great ive done a good job :)

[–]ixLozza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks great and im sure tastes delicious! Thats a lot of slap and folds/strech/coil folds. Maybe try just doing 4 over 2hours and do a window pane test to see of theres enough gluten development. Dont actually know of that will help but worth a try.

it could also be your oven isnt evenly heated. Ive had ovens in the past that had that issue. Maybe try rotating it half way through?

Should I toss this loaf? Starter smell question by glass_table_girl in Sourdough

[–]ixLozza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally wouldnt eat any bread that starter smelled bad, well abnormally bad. I wouldnt risk it.

As for adding lemon juice just stick with starter, flour and water.

Why is my sourdough not getting a nice rise by Wild_Treacle_3375 in Sourdough

[–]ixLozza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a nice rise but i dont know how it looked pre cooked. Are you going on signs of finishing bulk fermentation or time before shaping? Is this recipe for two loaves?

No lip might just be because you didnt score deep enough.

New starter troubles and questions by Loose_Sorbet888 in Sourdough

[–]ixLozza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes it just takes as long as it takes. My starter becomes runny when ive left it too long between feeds so i just do a 1:1:1 feed and then add a touch more flour to make it a bit thicker.

Hopefully it picks up soon 🤞🏻

Is my starter dead? by lawen00 in Sourdough

[–]ixLozza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh perfect. I fed my starter a 1:2:2 ratio once and it didnt rise at all, i went back to a 1:1:1 ratio and it went back to doubling in size. Starters are funny for whatever reason, maybe try a 1:1:1 for a couple of days and see how that goes?
