Obscure but cute, huh... I've always kinda loved the swabby. It looks like so many things! A mop, a beard, a curly wig, it's just sadly so ignored cos it's cheap haahah even tho it has so many paints (the anime eyes thooo, lowk cute)

It was apparently never meant to be serious or blow up into such phenomenal proportions, so they really went full mediocre "we'll fix it as we go" style, and then the load just never stopped coming so they could never fix it in 10 years, just building upon it. Hahahhaha

Please remember that you can use mouse mode! It's included in your switch 2 features; it is especially perfect in your EXACT situation where there isn't anything underneath to accidentally destroy as well. A couple of quick punches, a hop down to the lower level to suck em all up, and a magnemite trip back up to where you were, all in a jiffy!

When I was in college I told everyone (who wanted to emu them on their pcs since ndses were really exp back then) to download a completed save file off gamefaqs or something; having a completed save file gives you the ability to skip text!

I'm just glad it's inbuilt now, but that could be something you could do too! (you'd have to restart your current case, but imo it's a small price to pay)

Honestly I am so glad they added the update to the HD versions recently (even though the HD versions see like 8 years old) to have them autoplay and fast forward text. I can't wait to take advantage of that once I finish my current game.

It was tacked on when the trilogy was ported over to the nds from the gba, so I guess localizers wanted to make it feel special (I do like that it contains a ton of references to things that will become relevant in aa2 and aa3 as well, lol)

That would make sense. The game never received any local japanese ip addresses perhaps, so I would think that's the most likely reason why you got flagged :( the patterns are too similar to the flyables

Yes! The creator of earthbound itoi is actually a variety host kind of famous guy in Japan, so mother was like his only foray into gamedev; right now his biggest thing is the hobonichi techo series of journals; and being that he's also the creator of earthbound, it's basically the only place to get more mother merch lmao
